Let me start off by saying that I’m pleased with the content of the upcoming patch. I’m glad that those who have struggled through installation issues will finally be able to join in, and starting next Thursday I’ll be able to fly on VATSIM, which I’ve been waiting for since release.

However, considering the glaring number of bugs and issues coming up, I wish Asobo would at least acknowledge their presence and let us know that they will be worked on soon / what their priority is. It’s unacceptable, in my mind, that a core feature like weather is so horribly broken in the sim and no official word has come from the developers that they even know it’s a problem. 

I wasn’t expecting an immediate fix to live weather in the upcoming update (nor were many people), but we were expecting some acknowledgement of the issues we are experiencing, because they aren’t trivial.

 

Then we must make sure to post in their forums or helpdesk. Who could keep up with the volume of posts (lots of it garbage and irrelevant opinions) here at AVSim MSFS forum. A single thread here could be bumped down three pages in a matter of minutes.

Pretty sure everyone knows what the bugs are , there is a long list on the official forums. I mean if we need validation from Asobo or MS after all the bug reports over the past 9 days meh , check your emails from the bug reports you submit.

I’m active on the MSFS forum too, and they have still said absolutely nothing about live weather. They’ve mentioned VNAV being incomplete & Garmin avionics being incomplete, but nothing about weather.

btw they are hiring 🙂

Asobo knows how to make a pretty game, but they have no idea how to make a flightsimulator.

Just you can't play pretend airline pilot or pretend pilot in general doesn't mean this isn't a flight simulator.

My hope is the next development update will include the stuff they are working on next.

I see they started with install issues first... although broken vnav is extremely important, also the weather , dont get me wrong.. but some people cant even install the sim.. or being able to install it but then get stuck before the main menu...

also things that cause CTD 

so lets get the folks that have downloaded the sim 5x with no luck going with some flights in clear skies like us and then we can go straighten out the weather's malfunction 

 ultimately I think they are working their way down the list.. they will get to everything im confident.

Keep in mind, there are things that have been an issue since the Alpha days that haven’t even been acknowledged yet....

ABSOLUTELY!!!  And as a l-o-n-g-t-i-m-e flightsimmer and former pilot and aircraft owner I'm extremely disappointed, and for many reasons.  While I think everyone expected a bug or 2 at launch, it's obvious that this beyond buggy sim was released waaaaaaay too early.  I've literally spent more time diagnosing CTD problems and waiting for the sim to load and reload than I have spent flying.  I've researched and researched and jumped through hoop after hoop after hoop and still have CTD problems loading certain scenery areas.  In fact, my hometown Charlotte, NC, (airport KCLT) simply refuses to complete loading and crashes to desktop EVERY TIME.  At first I thought it must be an Azure/server problem so I manually cached the area on my hard drive.  Still no joy so it must be yet another bug.  OTOH when it works it's gorgeous so it's beyond frustrating.

Why dont you tell them how to do it ??? . 

If anyone would have listened or watched youtube  of any of the Q@A  from the Dev's  you would see they have given answers / information to just about everything posted in the last week already!  

They have given more feed back than any other FS released ever in just the first week along in the Q@A , a bit the forums don't list have a break down, line by line granted, but man just google it watch youtube. It's all out there. 

 

I would go as far as to say they have given more feed back than most any game AAA titles down to indie......
