Personally, I just think they are trying to get back(wards) in time for dinner.

Simple solution:

change

BOAT_THRUST=-1

to 

BOAT_THRUST=1

Problem solved!

OMG. they have modeled the *entire world* and this is what you have to complain about?  Go back to the early versions that just had a wire frame.
