September 9, 20205 yr Similar to the community project on the A320, over at github. FMC now has a Decent Forecast. MFD Door page, Gear page, Status page and Elec Synoptic page are now working, no longer INOP. Work is ongoing, more to come. An easy update, just drop into Community folder. https://github.com/lmk02/B787-XE Edited September 9, 20205 yr by RaptyrOne GregH Intel Core i7 14700K / Palit RTX4070Ti Super OC / Corsair 32GB DDR5 6000 MHz / MSI Z790 M/board / Corsair NVMe 9500 read, 8500 write / Corsair PSU1200W / CH Products Yoke, Pedals & Quad; Airbus Side Stick, Airbus Quadrant / TrackIR, 32” 4K 144hz 1ms Monitor
September 9, 20205 yr anyone have a screenshot of the FMC page? There's a video for the MFD pages but not for the FMC.
September 9, 20205 yr This might be more important than the headline exclaims. If this team is able to update the 787 which I understood was locked behind the Asobo doors as a Premium aircraft, then maybe there is a team out there willing and able to take on the Cessna Longitude which arrived in the same Premium batch of extras. Although it’s wide of the mark in many areas there’s something about it’s general demeanour that I find strangely compelling. The pitch and power aren’t that great but I’m sure that could be easily fixed by talented individuals 787 captain. September 9, 20205 yr I have a wish to Asobo that will probably never happen, but it's something along the lines of them building the highly detailed plane models and cockpits (but just barebones functional) for several more planes (ex: B777, A350, A380, CRJ, E75), and we have the community building all of the advanced features on top of the barebones ones. The community has probably much more knowledge about how the systems for these airplanes work. This would also ensure that the AI planes would accurately match their real world counter-parts.
September 9, 20205 yr Wait for real? People found a way to modify the premium airplanes??! Someone please fix the issues with the analog C172! Edited September 9, 20205 yr by FlyingInACessna

I'm like, what just happened??? In the traditional jets I fly, I am gaining a hand full of airplane because it's trimmed for V2 engine out. At V2 + 10 by 35ft, the nose naturally wants to keep coming up. Subconsciously I am adding nose down trim to catch V2+10 attitude. In MSFS, nose is raising and suddenly it wants to stop at lift off. Never mind that the nose is trying to lift off the ground after 100kts. I get that bumps along the runway causes you to maintain some slight forward pressure on the yoke on takeoff roll, but in MSFS, as I relax that pressure, nose is headed up on it's own lol. September 9, 20205 yr 1 hour ago, jon b said: What have you spotted? (So far 😄) (1) Fuel flow gauge is incorrectly modeled. My flight school's engine start procedures are the following: THROTTLE - Full Open MIXTURE - Full Rich MASTER - On FUEL PUMP - On FUEL FLOW - 3-5 GPH (ISSUE HERE - the sim shows an immediate jump to 10 GPH, which wouldn't happen during priming) FUEL PUMP - Off MAGNETOS - Start Something else is also wrong with fuel flow in general. I was taught to lean the mixture on climb out to approximately the top of the green arc on the fuel flow indicator. In this sim, I can't even reach the green arc before the engine starts sputtering. (2) The ammeter is reversed. Positive charge after the engine starts shows in the negative direction, and negative charge when the alternator is off shows in the positive direction. (3) Mixture peaks in richness before reaching the end of the mixture axis on the joystick... you can tell because when flying with full power, you can slowly decrease the mixture from full rich and watch the fuel flow go up. This might be a general issue with the sim as a whole. (4) Pulling out and pushing in the alternate static valve doesn't result in a jump in the V/S to show that doing so worked properly. (5) The default GPS doesn't show OBS or identify the current tuned VOR or show DME information. There are a few other minor things related to flight dynamics (adverse yaw seems nearly inexistent, whereas in real life if you enter a turn without rudder you'll see the nose stick up and the ball will drift pretty far). September 9, 20205 yr Well done ! A good listing. I’d spotted number 2 on the list, it had me scratching my head thinking something isn’t right there. i hope someone takes on the challenge 787 captain.
