I was blown away, the Gorge is there, lake looked amazing... I even saw the bathroom I have to run to every 45 seconds at Watkins Glen once I'm sitting on grid in the car all suited up and strapped in LOL!!!

Have a Wonderful Day

I live in Elmira and work at KELM, so I do a lot of flying around here. Yes, the Finger Lakes look as beautiful in the sim as they do in real life. The practice area that local flight students use is along the west shore of Seneca Lake just north of WG. I flew up there first thing after installing MSFS in the default C152, and found the very road and barn I used to use in my student pilot days to practice S turns across a road, and turns around a point. For a more challenging landing, I go to Costa Airport in Painted Post (7N1) or Towanda (N27), both of which look exactly like they do in real life.

Unfortunately, I think the color change in some areas is only due to the fact that some of the Bing Map imagery was taken in early fall. I don’t think they are producing the color change in-game (yet).

If you want a spectacular flight head to Elmira Corning airport in upstate NY.  I am heading there to check out Watkins Glen in the Fingerlakes region and sure enough the colors are "starting" change...  I have an incredible assortment of oranges and yellows mixed in with the trees.

I am gobsmacked this is a vanilla sim...  I've never seen all my add-ons combined produce this type of visual aesthetics....

I too was sim flying this area just yesterday and noticed the minimal fall colors.  As you know this is part of the streamed static imagery (Bing) and the sim does not modify these things, but it was fun to see.

Finally in Morocco. What a trip across the Sahara Desert. Next up we'll fly up to Gib, then Spain, then France then home.

I highly recommend it. But Man, the distances are so vast. . .but the views out the left window more than make up for it.

Very lazy Climb to FL240

Me neither--this came from LiveATC.net's actual ATC coming out of KOSH at that moment in time.
