They haven’t made any functional changes yet but seem to have re-skinned the touchscreen interface to be more realistic. Not sure if a collaboration would be interesting to either of you? https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/improved-tbm-930-touchscreen-controls/278409 I'd totally be up for a collaboration. I just need to contact the author of the other mod first and see if he/she is willing to as well.
October 4, 20205 yr Hey, I have to say looking at this I'm impressed. I went in to this to assess its compatibility with Working Title's work, expecting I'd need to caution folks about conflicts, but you have implemented this very cleanly. It's similar to the approach that we've taken in the latest version of our mods, although we've taken to using a modified directory structure rather than renaming individual files, for the most part. Thank you for being clever. 🙂
October 4, 20205 yr Wow, excellent and very very much appreciated, good job CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro | GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K
October 4, 20205 yr Nice mod for my favorite airplane, thanks! I did run into a problem where my lower left screen got stuck in the Active Flight Plan menu, which also was not showing all the legs and current. Switching to PFD, MFD or NAV COM did not do anything except change the knob descriptions. The right screen still worked fine so I was able to continue my flight.

The mod adds some new features to the in-game G3000 to bring it (a little) closer to the real-life version. It also fixes some bugs with the vanilla version. At present, the mod only works with the TBM 930. The Citation Longitude is not supported yet, but will likely be at some point in the future... Disclaimer: I'm not a pilot and have never even been within visual distance of a TBM. I use pilot reference manuals of the G3000 to guide development of the mod. There are definitely things in the mod that don't work exactly like they do in the real G3000: some are deliberate due to limitations of the underlying sim, and others I probably don't know about because anything that isn't explicitly spelled out in the manual I had to take my best guess at. I welcome any feedback either in this thread or on Github. You can find some release highlights below. Full notes can be found at the Github page. Release Highlights: -tbm version only: Made it so that the backlighting of the standby altimeter and airspeed indicator is controlled by the overhead Panel Lighting knob. This makes it so that every bit of lighting inside the TBM cockpit is adjustable (screens and associated buttons/knobs with G3000 digital control and everything else with the panel lighting knob). Could you give some attention to the overall lighting of the cabin of the TBM. I find the glareshield so dark that I can't see the thumbwheel to adjust the VS. Some method of increasing the overall brightness of the panel (not the Garmin screens) would be appreciated. Most of your improvements sounds great. When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
October 5, 20205 yr The Citation Longitude has a Garmin G5000 panel, not a G3000. There are some significant difference in the two systems. When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .

Not planning right now to do anything about it mostly because my background is in coding, not lighting/graphics. 31 minutes ago, raymar said: The Citation Longitude has a Garmin G5000 panel, not a G3000. The "G5000" in the Longitude is literally the same system as the G3000 in the TBM except with a modified engine display and vertically oriented touchscreens. Even in real life, the systems are fairly similar. As far as I can tell, every feature I've added to the G3000 also exists in the G5000, with the exception of adjustable backlighting (the real life G5000 uses automatic screen brightness control based on ambient lighting and only lets you set day/night mode).

And the G5000 has two additional touch panels with additional functions. I sure hope you can find a way to update the Longitude. Of course, it needs a flight dynamics overhaul most of all. btw, I am mid-flight in the TBM and I have not found any of your mods to be working. Where is the control to dim the Garmin Screens? The map distance remains 200 nm. I am not able to see any radar weather. When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
