Initial release of G3000 Enhanced mod

Could you give some attention to the overall lighting of the cabin of the TBM.  I find the glareshield so dark that I can't see the thumbwheel to adjust the VS.  Some method of increasing the overall brightness of the panel (not the Garmin screens) would be appreciated.

Most of your improvements sounds great.

I was just thinking of how great it would be if FSL ported their free lighting mod into MSFS....Heck I'd even pay a few bucks for it at this point to take care of some other cockpit lighting needs as well (cough, cough, our Mooney overhead lights panel?) 🙂

Maybe an intrepid and talented modder could find a way to come up with something?

Fantastic mod for the G3000 @aznricepuff!  Thank you for the gift!

btw, I am mid-flight in the TBM and I have not found any of your mods to be working.  Where is the control to dim the Garmin Screens?  The map distance remains 200 nm. I am not able to see any radar weather.

Brightness setting is located at MFD Home, Aircraft Systems, Lighting Config

You may have other mods installed that are causing compatibility issues. I would try disabling your other mods and then adding back one by one to find out which one is causing the issue.

Hmmm. We must have different model TBMs, mine does not have Aircraft Systems choice at MFD Home screen.

Thanks.

Ray mar,  You apparently haven't a correct copy of the mod. It's named msfs2020-G3000-enhanced in my system and can be accessed by an above link at the start of this thread. Good luck

Well, is there more than one master file at github using the posted link?  Does the file name need to be modified for the community folder?  Is your file named

msfs2020-G3000-enhanced-master and is it 1.72 MB

Mine has -master at the end of the file name - does that affect the working of the mod?

Something is obviously not correct with this mod.  Where else would I get a corrupt file?

I started over with nothing in my community folder.  I downloaded the

msfs2020-G3000-enhanced-master file from the link in the OP first thread

I installed it in my community folder

Open ver 1.9.3.0 MFS, selected the TBM,

and NOTHING listed in the mod is in the TBM.

Here is the MFD home screen.

That is very kind and creative of the OP but I hardly feel comfortable modifying this very complex work in progress.  I can see this going in, and a patch or 5 down the road breaking something else, then Asobo getting blamed for it who knows.

Cheers & Best Wishes

I believe the enhanced master is the wrong version, I did the same.

You need the latest release with 2 different versions, a standard version & TBM specific version

The only file that I see to download is the -master and it has a folder for "src" with subfolders for "dev" and "packages"

The "dev" folder has subs for "tbm" and "working"

The packages folder has subs for ".. enhanced-std"  and "  .. enchanced-tbm"

Do you suppose we are suppose to only installed the tbm and working folders and delete the others?  If so, I would think the mod would include some installation instructions for that.

Good to know. Thanks. ALL the other mods at Github direct to the Code Download zip.  That was indeed the problem.  When I wade down in the folder I find the tbm file.  Thanks for the instructions.

These are some really niffy and useful features that have been added, especially the new expanded choices in the Aircraft Systems icon.  I like the additional Map Settings including choices of North Up, Track Up, and Heading Up.  The 1000nm map is more useful also.

I will have to spend to some time exploring all the changes.

I am also concerned when two different user devs are working on the same plane at the same time and Asobo is quiet as a mouse and we have no idea what they are up to.  hmmm.

It sure would be nice if the two user groups were working as one. <hint>

Thanks for this update.

Great work, isn't there a similar mod where the mini screens at the bottom have been reskinned to look like the real life counterparts?

ASUS ROG Maximus Hero XII ▪︎ Intel i9-10900K ▪︎ NVIDIA RTX 3090 FE ▪︎ 64GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro ▪︎ Windows 10 Pro (21H1) ▪︎ Samsung 970 EVO Pro 1TB NVME SSD (OS Drive) ▪︎ Samsung 860 EVO 2TB SATA SSD ▪︎ Seagate 4TB SATA HDD ▪︎ Corsair RMx 850W PSU

Wish there was a better doc with this on which to use.  Standard and TBM versions.  Do you only put one or the other in the Community folder?  Or both?

Wow, excellent and very very much appreciated, good job

I am assuming that the lighting portion at least has a conflict when using these two mods together in the TBM:

  • TBM 930 - TORQUE AND LIGHTS v2.0
  • msfs2020-G3000-enhanced-tbm

since the PFD and MFD screens will not dim with the overhead knob, and the dim slider on the small screen only effects the small screens (touch screens).
