We are looking into this in next build, for the temp on the ground. Thanks

That's great, the temp on the ground does change to the correct value on the takeoff roll for me as per the metar but at altitude it under reads IE at 5000 when it was supposed to be 12 Celcius but it was 0 Celcius, repeatable problem

I still don't know what the REX application provides which the default weather system doesn't.  Is it just more reliable METAR data downloads?  The cost I guess is reasonable but what is the value added for $21?

I like to be able to see the metar in a slick interface and know that it's being injected into the Sim, clouds, wind and temp plus know what the winds aloft are, accurate QNH etc

The pop up is only at the beginning of the setup. After that you have smoothing and automation.

Youtube videos show otherwise. I'll love the default weather and although not always perfect depicting actual weather conditions, it does a awesome job of depicting weather transitions,  there are no pop-up clouds, which for me is a deal breaker.

Are there rapid weather changes using REX or are the transitions smooth?

the popup happens ONLY, when you start the application and Weather Force starts. This I can assure you this is the way it happens

Look at minute 12:35, it shows the sudden depiction of clouds. If it works for you then great, I'll stick to default and wait for a fix.

Really? The simulation must be at x10 times normal simulation, and the clouds fade in very nicely at 12:35 even at x10.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback.

Let us now define "smooth".

My definition of smooth:

- Not noticable as injected clouds. Clouds must be detected early enough to get "shown" as soon as they can be drawn on the horizon so a user never gets the feeling like they are injected. As a User I want to have the feeling as the clouds would grow like in real life with the same "speed" and he same visuals. A product wich solves this correctly is from the Dev HiFi on the P3D V4 and V4 plattform as well on V5 without the EA Beta mode.

So on "normal" sim speed I think this could match very well.

REX Definition of smooth:

- Injection will draw the clouds within the a timeframe of 5 seconds (or something like that)

If this video shows correct injection enhanced with the "build in smootness function", than I do find it an immersion killer

I won't enter into a debate here on the smooth definition. You expressed your point and I expressed my point.

We can evaluate to decrease the timers, and I am sure you won't notice anything.

We are polishing the smoothing features in next builds, being to able to inject at a distance as well.

That's good news, once that has been polished, will definitely consider buying it.

Well Federico sorry but even if it's 10x the speed the clouds "grow" from 12:44 till 12:54 which are 10 seconds of the video. Multiply it with 10x (if the simulation runs 10x) and you get 100sec / 60 = 1,66min of real time.

Have you ever seen a blue sky going to full OVC in under 2 min???

While the clouds do seam to grow nice, they should already be there for the time you get there...i think it's the distance that needs to be worked on.

I don't know if this is x10 times, or x5 times or x20 times. What we can evaluate is to reduce the timers.

As I mentioned we are evaluating to inject at distance as well. Thanks
