October 6, 20205 yr Author Make sure you shut off anti virus and run the larger msi file not the smaller rexinstaller.exe Edited October 6, 20205 yr by Richard Sennett Rich Sennett
October 6, 20205 yr Uh, you must be a beta tester, because the only way to update is via the app itself. It presently is asking for a beta code to update. No one on the Discord server has the update either as of 2300 EDT.

Try this uninstall REX - then use REX file transfer manager - install by launching the rexinstaller.exe - put in your email and orig serial number thats it I just uninstalled it and reinstalled as stated works perfectly When using download manager just pick 😄 drive here is location for the install file - pretty easy stuff C:\rexdownload\install Perfectly fine to delete the "rexdownload" folder it created on your 😄drive if you wish just dump into the trash bin - its just place holder for the install pretty cool stuff - if you need files again just use download manager again Edited October 6, 20205 yr by Richard Sennett Rich Sennett

October 6, 20205 yr Yep, the automatic update is now working directly from the app itself and the installer also works correctly. I really missed this add-on after the MSFS 1.93 update. Today I flew from KBWI to KALB to test out the AI traffic created with AI Flight Planner and the live weather generated by the sim was wrong along the entire route. I think that the problem is that for the temperate zone of the globe, the short term forecasts used by the sim are just too inaccurate. It's good that two of the major deficiencies in MSFS (AI traffic and weather) are now well on their way to being useful for piloting. Every day I hope for a fix for the autopilot, which really is the next issue that needs to be addressed.

October 6, 20205 yr Waiting for historical weather ... - Harry 9800x3D (Strix x870e-E) - 64GB RAM (DDR5 6000, CL 30) - RTX 5090, 34'' 1440p OLED HDR - Windows 11 Pro (1TB M.2) - MSFS 2024 (MS Store, 4TB M.2).
October 6, 20205 yr I still have creative weather from Rex. Had full overcast earlier (blue skies horizon to horizon here), then a few clouds, then blue skies (bingo!) ... all within a space of perhaps an hour. No mention over overcast conditions in the actual METAR either. I have no idea how Rex manages to come to that conclusion.
