October 16, 20205 yr How is it still possible that not one of them is flyable. Zero elevator authority on both the 87 and the 320, and I've downloaded every one of the 320 mods and there is no elevator control. The 747 is marginally flyable but those other two are junk. To think some of us spent the extra to get those and they can't be flown.
October 16, 20205 yr Don't know what is going on but i'm with you. I'm just using the GA planes for now. Alexander Colka
October 16, 20205 yr Funny how there are some on this forum that are flying A320 just fine. Perhaps your definition of "unflyable" is different than theirs.

Perhaps. My definition is defined as smacking into the ground because the elevator does not move...at all. Every single other plane, including the two Bizz jets are fine
October 16, 20205 yr Also you did not pay extra for the A320 11 minutes ago, DarkMantle said: To think some of us spent the extra to get those and they can't be flown.

And both examples cited are fly-by-wire machines... makes me wonder if the OP knows how to fly these systems. Its point and let go... keep making inputs and the computer keeps trying to match the input... just a little tip! Edited October 16, 20205 yr by Cmcollazo71
October 16, 20205 yr Commercial Member I see many other users of the moded A320 really happy and clocking may hours on it... So, how do they do it!? Its wizardry!

Every single other plane, including the two Bizz jets are fine I seem to remember when an Air France pilot accused the A320 of doing the same thing during an airshow and it was found out that he had inadvertently entered landing mode. I went to You Tube and looked up tutorials on how to fly the A320 and did a 3 hour flight from FLL to BDL and it worked like a champ. Perhaps you need some additional training. The A320 is not perfect and there are definite issues with it, but unflyable it is not.

I've had some issues with elevator authority on landing as well, along with a random roll to the left over the threshold. What "additional training" can fix that? How come the airplane doesn't flare when you lightly pull back on the stick, but if you pull back aggressively the nose shoots up?

Have you tried tweaking sensitivity of X and Y axis?

I'll let an actual A320 pilot address those as I have no real world experience flying the A320. But I was able to successfully complete multiple flights in the sim, which by definition makes them "flyable".

I was just asking for what I can do to make my landings "work" like they do in the 737 in X-Plane & every other airplane in the sim. It's the FBW airplanes that I can't seem to land properly. 3 minutes ago, leprechaunlive said: Have you tried tweaking sensitivity of X and Y axis? Yep, and my settings are fine. Haven't had any issues with sensitivity on any other airplanes, and generally when I'm not landing, they're fine on the A320 too.
October 16, 20205 yr Honestly, I'm genuinely impressed by anyone who has the patience to use any of the aircraft that are more complex than the C152.

I did go a recalibrate my Honeycomb Alpha from scratch and it's made quite a bit of difference. It's still not perfect but better. Strange thing is, there was nothing wrong with the other Aircraft so maybe the programing on the 320 is such that if the controller is off just enough, then the problem gets amplified. But who knows...
