October 20, 20205 yr A big thanks to those of you that recommended "LightScreen". Easy to set up and works like a charm. Alexander Alonso
October 20, 20205 yr Checkout BANDICAM https://www.bandicam.com/downloads/ Game recording, screen recording, image capture and game FPS overlay. Free version can record up to ten minutes per file and unlimited screen capture. I purchased the full version and it works with no issue with with MSFS and other games.
October 20, 20205 yr I use my Iphone since it has 4k and my monitor does not.. I put my plane on active pause and then take a picture with my phone and now I have a 4k screenshot.. works great.
October 20, 20205 yr Can any of these screenshot software let me bind the hotkey to a joystick button? I used to bind XP or P3D/FSX screenshot key to the trigger of my joystick and it works great. Since MSFS has no dedicated screenshot key I can't do this anymore. 9950X3D / 64GB / RTX5090 / Pimax Crystal Light / Win11

October 20, 20205 yr Great, will give lightscreen a try tonight. 9950X3D / 64GB / RTX5090 / Pimax Crystal Light / Win11
October 21, 20205 yr I use autoscreencapture. I turn it on when I'm flying and have it configured to take a new screenshot every second. It eats up disk pretty quick, but disk is cheap. Then afterwards if I think there might be something I'd want to save I look through the screenshots, pick keepers, and delete the rest. This way I never have to miss an "oh s...!" moment because I'm too busy trying to keep the plane in the air to think to take the time to snap a screenshot.
October 21, 20205 yr I use Snagit (Payware). The late great Tom Allensworth once did a feature on that program right here, some years ago. They say 14 million people use it now. It comes with a graphic editing tool too, to tidy up your pics with annotations , arrows, labels. https://www.techsmith.com/screen-capture.html 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. October 21, 20205 yr Aside from autoscreen, I use Greenshot for general screen capture. It's free (like Lightscreen), lightweight (like Lightscreen), extremely configurable (like Lightscreen), and has an integrated editor with a handful of useful tools you can use for obfuscating and annotating images (unlike Lightscreen). It's super useful when your purpose in taking screenshots is to be more illustrative. Like this: Edited October 21, 20205 yr by kaosfere
