October 20, 20205 yr It's hard to show but to me when I am in the sim, my clouds look a little distorted. They almost have a salt and pepperish look to them. Is this just a limitation of my hardware or is it a setting in the sim that I can mess with to make them look a little better? October 20, 20205 yr Also no picture here but I guess I know what you mean. Had that as well with my 1660s until I changed some of my graphics setting. Just don’t remember which of them 🙂. Followed however the graphics settings guide over at the official flightsimulator forum link: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/how-to-graphics-settings-and-performance-guide-8-18-2020/132407 Edited October 20, 20205 yr by DAD Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"

I'll check this out. I was having trouble posting a pic here. I think the only really good way of describing what I am seeing is salt and peppery looking and almost is though they have 90% loaded into the sim. When you look close they appear to be blocky and pixelated. Everything I read said 100 is the way to go and definitely don't exceed 100. Sounds like I am not the only person with this "issue". October 20, 20205 yr Putting CLOUDS on ULTRA helps their appearance IMO . Not a fix but it looks better than high.

October 20, 20205 yr I have clouds on low and they look "okay" but nothing to write home about. Setting them higher only looks worse. Edited October 20, 20205 yr by RobJC 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro

October 20, 20205 yr I tend to run with the nexus scattered showers preset when not on live weather and keep the clouds on ultra and they look quite good. Ultra does have a bit of an FPS hit but for me it is worth it. QUESTION: Do people with this issue get the same problem if they revert to default ultra with preset rainy weather or is it just with custom settings and live weather?
