FS realistic is coming to MSFS

Recommended Posts

Originally started with EZCA then switched to Chaseplane.  Would really like to see Chaseplane for MSFS 2020.

I doubt this will sell at $34.99, the price for the xplane version. AccuFeel was 19.99 and pretty good.

I'm bringing this thread back because recently I've done a few flight and I can't believe the difference in sound enjoyment & animation effects that this add-on added to my flightsim. After flying around again in MSFS, the first ting I noticed is how lifeless the airplanes are in MSFS. Those of you who bought the JF Arrow, does it have ground roll sounds and head shake effects or is it as dull and lifeless as the other airplanes?

XPRealistic Pro v2 for XPlane even enhances payware so I can't wait for this to be released for MSFS.

BTW, I also started using ATC chatter for MSFS, after using it in X-Plane, and I can conclude that it's a must have add-on if you love ATC like I do. It works well in MSFS.

A pilot is always learning and I LOVE to learn.

Who needs camera effects when you can have vr? Even without vr You would have to pay me to install software that makes my screen shake.

I use Garmin Pilot EFB on my iPad Pro, so VR no good for that.

MSFS has plenty of "camera shake" already baked in from Asobo, don't really need anymore...

I'm familiar with two used in FSX and P3D, EZCA and OpusFSI.

I was wondering exactly the same thing. Why anyone would need one for MSFS since there's one already baked in.

This addon brings not only camera effects, but multiple new sounds as well. Can't use XP11 without it.

Compared to XP11 with XPRealistic, MSFS is really lacking in the camera shake effects. I too am really looking forward to getting this after having enjoyed it in XP. Landing and Take-off with this, and the already excellent visuals will add another level of immersion.

I thought it was just sounds in the beta that was starting? As the SDK doesn’t allow them camera setup yet. That’s at least the email I received anyways.

Dear Captain,

We are thrilled to officially announce that FSRealisticSound effects pack is expected to be released within few weeks. MSFS never sound better! You are the first to hear about this news, feel free to share it with the community using the share links below.

FSRealistic will consist of three different effects packs:

  • Sound effects pack
  • Camera effects pack
  • Visual effects pack

The first effects pack to be released to stores is the Sound effects pack. This is due to the fact that MSFS SDK is yet to have released support for camera effects. Once it will, the Camera effects pack will be followed.

A bit of background. The dev has a tendency to work on his projects in bursts of enormous energy: not unlike him to work straight through nights (with only a few hours of sleep) to address issues. A super friendly guy, first-class coder and innovator and he will no doubt bring an interesting project to MSFS.

In a nutshell XPRealistic gives you:

  • A profile for each aircraft/heli (or, if you prefer, you can piggy-back on another plane's profile or even copy the settings over)
  • XPRealistic started as a 'camera' movement (in inverted commas because it's essentially your virtual head) plugin, but quickly evolved to include much more
  • 'Camera' movement (even of you use VR) gives you the sensation of g-forces, shake etc
  • Increased noise and shake for ground run, flaps deployment, stall and many others.
  • Sliders for every one of the effects, so you can select how severe you want it to be
  • ... and a range of sounds (so that flap extension on a Warrior doesn't sound like the flaps extending on a A320)

It takes a little time to dial the settings in but it adds a lot to the sim experience. I don't know at what stage the development is, but will likely release soon after the Beta kicks off and then will probably enjoy a rapid series of updates (before dev goes quiet as he catches up on sleep 😂).

Personally I'd love to see the inclusion of a fly-by camera ... but this is likely beyond the scope of the project.
