December 22, 20205 yr I was asked to display some of my Battle of Britain memorobilia at the Mess Dinner. I work at what was 10 Group HQ in 1940 (Browns Quarry, RAF Rudloe Manor). All the portraits are individually signed by their pilots. John Farnes (far right) passed away this year. Towards the rear is a fully populated (genunine 1940's instruments) Hawker Hurricane panel. At the very back, is a small tribute to Ray Holmes. You can't see it, but Christopher Ward created a watch from the Merlin engine from Rays Hurricane when it was dug up in 2005. The time piece was called TM-B (Rays 504 Squadron Code).
