It's the Gatwick mob - They are all off their trolley!  😄

Anyway, I like your tip.  This setting works perfectly for me.  Thanks!  👍

Wasn’t this fixed in the last patch? I’m sure I read something about it...

When ever I used / talked to ATC I would have a 0.2 - 0.5 second stutter FPS would drop by 2 for 1 second, it was always when they finished and the Kkkkk sound or just before the sound but you get the idea.

I changed this setting and now problem solved.

Hm, does that mean, it connects online, wait until it establishes its connection, the game freezes until then and afterwards, when the connection is established it continues.

Heck, this is funny, they likely don`t know the word multi-threading in their native language.

Isn't that the setting that makes some ATC voices sound like children?

Mine does!   I have been trying to find a way to change it this evening.  No joy yet.

The suggestion to go into windows speech-to-text to slow it down hasn't worked.  The voices are different in there anyway, not like these MSFS ones.

Real life ATC can also be pretty awful to understand ...

That's a great video Glenn. 👍   I'm going down to watch it on the big screen in a minute from the start.

The ATC is very garbled as you say.  The only way you will understand that really is if you kind of know what you are expecting them to say, as ATC communications are kind of scripted / structured in a certain way aren't they, and there is only certain types of information to pass.

But not being a pilot, if I shut my eyes and listened to it without being able to see the subtitles, I wouldn't have a clue!

The whole channel is worth a look. Most of the recent videos are flying a Kodiak out to a bush strip somewhere in PNG .

You didn't actually "solve" a problem, you just switched from Azure to Windows Offline.😄

I vastly prefer Azure. The only problem is that if your internet connection craps out, you lose the voices.

It’s solves small micro stutters with ATC. And there is nothing wrong with my internet.

Another classic I’ll thought out “Ricardo41” reply.

You didn't actually solve the problem, you found a way to evade it. 😉 Personally I don't like the offline option: the voices of the Azure option sounds a lot better to me. Just after the public release of MSFS I had to use that offline option because the Azure servers couldn't handle the demand (I think) but whenever possible I use the Azure option. Did you have your problem since the beginning or just lately? It might be a temporary problem due to a bad connection with Azure. Anyway, suggesting to not use a certain option isn't really a solution but I get you see it as that. ;)

Well, why it is a solution for me is because I do have a poor broadband speed, and the lag on long pauses was making the ATC unplayable.

Switching to off-line mode, it is instant now. (So problem solved for me)  The only issue is that some of the voices aren't the best, but I can live with that better than I can with the lag.

Whether you want to argue that it has 'avoided' my issue rather than solving it is semantics really, but it sure seems like it has solved it for me rather than avoiding it, as I couldn't care less for the Azure voices.

I do wonder why people even bother trying to pass on some learning points though sometimes, when people split hairs over it.
