Stopped by SimMarket and saw that the already confusing Seasons Packs from Bijan Studios is now even more confusing.

There are now 4 additional Multi-Packs that offer Spring-Fall, Fall-Spring, Summer-Winter or Winter-Summer combos. Naming convention is Northern Hemisphere-Southern Hemisphere in case you're wondering. Good news is they're free upgrades if you bought the 4 Season Pack. Possibly free to others as well who have the various different combos, too.

Bought the 4 Multi-Packs for $0.00 and D/L them. Nothing about an installer so I put them into a Seasons folder and will use MSFS Addon Linker to activate one at a time. Depending on where you live, Spring (or any season) might come earlier or later than its due date so it's not critical the season changes precisely. When I get to it is fine.

Confusion aside, these small mods add a lot to MSFS2020 and I don't mind supporting the author. I understand that eventually Asobo MIGHT offer these same mods as part of the core software, but .... well .... a bird in the hand is blah, blah.

I am wondering if any other mods will conflict with these Bijan Studios Multi-Packs? Specifically the tree draw distance mod from FSBlog.

You don't need the tree distant mod from FSBlog anymore as it is included in Bijans mods. At least what I have purchased and installed.

Hi Jay,

The first pack has 4 single seasons. The 4 new multi seasons are upgrade from single seasons, which I am building into one pack of 4 multi seasons. You can find the install.txt file in there to show you how to install it. As @micko mentioned, the LOD is already built in and is not the same as the free one. So no need for another one as it will conflict.

A question many asks is how does the multi seasons work.

This 4.45 minutes video shows how transition works from Fall season to Spring season from North to South hemisphere (Japan to Australia) in MSFS in slew mode. It works the same way with the other seasons.

 

 

Here is a picture showing which areas changes. Most of the ecosystems have been changed to match native plants.

Question for Bijan : 

as I am a jetliner flyer I have buildings/trees textures at Medium so I can add more custom objects and use higher other settings.

In your Readne at Simmarket I read trees are advised to set to Ultra.

Can I use them at Medium too ?

Hi Gerard,

Yes you can sue high or medium settings and the LOD would still much much much higher than default. Buildings only effect buildings so you can use medium setting as you are.

Edit: By ultra, I meant only ultra for tree setting.

ok, can someone (a customer) make this simple for me please.  Way too many packages and confusion.  What I need is someone to post a link that addresses this question:

I want to get an all inclusive single purchase product, to do that, buy this = (           link              )

can a prior customer provide the link in the above sentence?

Hi Mike,

The last multi season was just released last night. So now I can make a final package to include everything. It will be released by tonight or tomorrow.

For now what's available is "4 season pack", which includes all 4 single seasons and you can download the other multi ones for free.

It's like looking down the barrel of the Flight1 Wrapper and wondering how much of a headache this is going to be.

Bijan is consolidating things. Will get better and, IMO, worth the effort. Does make a great looking sim even better.

What is the suggestion here is to wait until the combo pack comes out shortly. How it is set out presently is unsatisfactory and confusing. Otherwise he would be telling you explicitly not to buy the existing packs. The latter would be kind of unfair to SM since they are hosting the products. Bottom line is wait until the combo pack is released. That's my opinion as I am also interested but won't buy in its present state.
