Jörg talked about the France Benelux update and the new DEM that will include as well as the guys at Bing working at a new method to render the mountains. "We fly in thos places as well, we see what does not look good." I bet this is what they work on. It‘s certainly reassuring that they‘re working on it. I just wish they‘d been a bit more specific. There’s so many mesh issues at the moment (tears, inaccurate mesh, morphing, too rounded, and the list goes on). It felt a bit as if they tried to evade the question. I can wait for better mesh, imagery, and jagged mountains; I just hope it won‘t take forever unit they at least sort out the glitches. Those tears are incredibly annoying, especially in VR. i9-11900K, RTX 4090, 32 GB ram, Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo, TCA Airbus sidestick and quadrant, Reverb G2
January 29, 20215 yr Another one I forgot is terrain spiking around the world getting addressed in the UK Update. Nothing mentioned about water going up mountains in costal areas, no one even asked.... Maybe late February. Nothing mentioned about water going up mountains in costal areas, no one even asked.... Maybe late February. This is the biggest (visual0 issue I have with the sim at the moment. I am not sure if it is linked to the scenery spikes, but the constant morphing of the landscape (mainly in mountainous areas), the spoilt coastlines, and the black/silver cracks in the scenery (mainly mountains and runways) really needs to be addresses. Nobody has mentioned the line through the horizon for a while either, although that one isn't too intrusive. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. January 30, 20215 yr Something I missed watching live. There will be licenced AI aircraft models coming with the March world update, specifically he said ones related to France. Liveries are still in the air, one Airline (he didn't give a name) they've been talking to for approval has delayed again saying 'oh next year, we're too busy' or something like that. Side note, Jorg said he does use some of the fan made Livery packs in his personal copy of the sim Also we should be seeing more Live AI traffic in the air with the Sim Update at the end of this month. They've got a new algorithm that will allow the sim to render flights that have incomplete data from Flight aware. . Edited January 30, 20215 yr by Tuskin38
