USA world update photogrammetry cities?

Featured Replies

On the first region based world update we had Japan. Which had many things included, one of them being photogrammetry cities. Then we had the USA and it had no photogrammetry cities but a couple handcrafted airports etc.

Then, today we have the UK world update and again a lot of things including some airports, poi’s, and again photogrammetry cities.

why did the USA world update not include photogrammetry cities? If you look at the content manager you’ll see Japan photogrammetry cities and uk photogrammetry cities but not USA. Did I miss them?

The answer is simple:

Japan had ZERO photogrammetry cities before its update, and the UK had TWO.

The US has more than 100 photogrammetry cities out of the box.

There was simply no need to add any.

Because despite what some Americans seem to think, there is a world outside of the USA.

And the uk seems to have lost the original two in the new update so the net gain was  only three.

It’s a bug, confirmed on the official forums. It wasn’t intended. Eventually they will fix it.

I know the USA came with a ton of photogrammetry cities, I just noticed the other 2 updates came with some so maybe the USA one did too.

Also, as an American who has traveled to close to every country on earth (about 85% of them) and every continent including Antarctica, yes I’m well aware there is a world outside of the United States.

have a wonderful day!

Again, why should it?

As of now the U.S. is more than adequately represented in that particular field. Japan and the UK weren't. So that is why they got at least some, even if the number is still miniscule and far below what is actually available out there.

If only every flightsimmer would just 'go fund me' to Microsoft a hundred US dollars, then maybe Bing could afford bigger computer banks! Enough to host FS with photogramic reality for every city on Earth!
