This exactly what we urgently need. The community is nagging about it and I am pretty sure, this will be a top voted question in the next Dev Q&A. I hope from the 3rd party side of things, you guys along with other 3rd party developers are pressuring Jörg and Asobo to implement this ASAP. Pressure from all sides, would work 😉 AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 64GB DDR5 6000MHZ RAM, RX7900XT, FreeSync 165hz 1440p display

Can't tell you how many times I've set up a flight ready to go on vatsim and as I'm getting ready to taxi, coualt pops up with an error message and crashes the sim. I'm sure I'm not the only one who went through that I'm sorry, but as explained so many times already, Couatl CANNOT crash the sim. An external executable simply cannot do that, and this is not open to discussion. What REALLY happened, that has mislead thinking Couatl was the cause, is your sim crashed because of something else ( one of the many add-ons you surely must have installed that CAN crash the sim, that is anything using a .DLL ) and THIS made the sim crash and this made Couatl crash, which even managed to properly log an error before crashing due to the other add-on that made the sim crash and, when the sim crashes abruptly, it won't be able to send the normal "quit" message to all its connected Simconnect clients like Couatl, which are waiting for that message to close down all its files and processes cleanly. So, what really happened here is that you have been mislead by Couatl honesty and accuracy in detecting and showing error messages, you assumed Couatl was the cause just because you saw it reporting an error. It would be way easier for us to just turn off any of these errors, you wouldn't have seen anything coming from Couatl, you would only see a silent simulator crash that can be faulted to anything, but that would be dishonest, not something we'd do. February 24, 20215 yr Commercial Member As an additional note, we managed to fix the stray taxiway lights for all our sceneries ( except Zurich, which will really require the real fix from Asobo ) now. If you bought them on FSDT site or Simmarket, you can get all the fixed files by simply running the FSDT Live Updater. Umberto Colapicchioni http://www.fsdreamteam.com FSDT on Facebook

So is there an update to KEYW? I have not gotten an email. I have no idea what Couatl is?

I have not gotten an email. Simmarket says so, because they are accustomed to updates where you must download an updated installer, so they get notifications when an updated installed is sent to Simmarket. But this is not relevant to our products, which comes with the FSDT Live Update program so, you run it, and all FSDT products will be updated to their most current version, with no need to redownload or reinstall anything, this is exactly the same regardless if you bought on the FSDT site or on Simmarket, the installation and all the updates are identical. As I've said in one of my previous posts, we sent the update for KEYW to the MS Marketplace at the same time we released it on our site, and it should be available tomorrow. The updates for the other sceneries will appear later, since we release them today. Umberto Colapicchioni http://www.fsdreamteam.com FSDT on Facebook

In MSFS, you can't right now, because at this time there's no software running inside the simulator, in FSX/P3D the Live Update notification was yet another useful feature that was made with the Couatl engine, so you were notified of updates with a message in the sim, we'll get it back with GSX for MSFS so, right now, to keep up with MSFS updates, I suggest to check our Facebook page. It will be interesting to see the reaction if prices for future (presumably fully featured) products go back to P3D levels There are 3 reasons why MSFS sceneries are cheaper, and in some cases extremely cheap for what they are: 1) The user base is surely larger now and developers are *betting* it will increase further with the Xbox version. The main problem I see right now, if MS will be able to SHIP some Xboxes before this summer, because right now they are extremely hard to find. Not that finding video cards is any easier... 2) Most of the sceneries out there, and I'd say 100% of the BIG AIRPORT sceneries for MSFS have been converted from P3D. There's nothing wrong with that, they can work just fine, and look even better they ever did, especially if they were already made in full PBR. This means most of the development costs was already covered by sales of the FSX/P3D versions, but is going to be very difficult to offer a brand new BIG airport scenery made exclusively for MSFS ( that is, at least 9-12 months of full time work ) for 9.99$, we can only hope users will understand, otherwise they'll only get conversions and small airports... 3) The MSFS airports are usually less featured, no Docking Systems, no SODE, very few extra features or interactivity. This is going to change soon, at least for us but, we don't plan to charge more for airports, we'll likely include all these features with GSX so, if you'll get GSX, the airport will work better, but you won't be forced to pay more for it if you are not interested in the extra features. So, we are betting on #1, hoping users will get #2, and basically figure it out #3 Umberto Colapicchioni http://www.fsdreamteam.com FSDT on Facebook
February 24, 20215 yr Author I bought the Keyw from the marketplace this morning, and having flown into Key West in real life, many times in a Cessna, I was really impressed with the scenery. Can't wait to fly into there tonight, from KFLL, which was a flight I made often back in the early 80's. Edited February 24, 20215 yr by Bobsk8

The blue lights are a minefield and you can't help but hit them. (sorry I can't help it) LouP 🙂
