FYI, Aerosoft has released an update for the CRJ Pro for P3Dv4/5. 

It's time for a new CRJ Pro update. Version 2.4.0.0, also known as Service Pack 2, has just been released. You need to download a new installer for it (too many changed files), so please check your shop account.

I think that is what there doing. I can't wait to get home and check it out. 

 

I see no mention of the performance improvements he promised for this update. 
 

Can anybody confirm they’re in?

 

A few weeks ago he said they’re implemented in the next update.

I had the same question.  Pretty much the reasons I uninstalled it from my sim: the excessively dark/washed out cockpit and the incredible amount of stuttering (which I've never seen in any other aircraft addon in v5).

 

I agree though, nice to see an extensive changelog for the P3D variants.

I just installed it and looked around. Panning around the VC still seems the same as before. All my other aircraft are smooth but the CRJ for some reason seems laggy. I will take it for a flight to see how it is but now I see why performance was not part of the changelog. 

 

Here is a post from another user: 

Flying version 2.4.0.0 now but unfortunately FPS still jumps around between 30-150.

EFB off makes no difference.

Other planes FSLabs, PMDG, ETC are ok.

Just checked as well. Still an insane stutterfest while taxiing, with FPS drops.

 

And that's on a 9900K @ 5Ghz and an RTX2080Ti.

 

Hans will never turn this thing into a decent addon.

Just took off.

 

I can't believe how terrible performance is. This is just absurd. Even when FPS show as high it's just nasty.

 

Edited to add: LNAV still overshooting turns like crazy. It's laughable.

Make sure you leave feedback in this topic so maybe they will fix it one day. I was really hoping for a resolution to this problem.

Has anyone tried panning without Chaseplane to see if it's smoother panning?

Also IAS climb not exactly respecting the speed I gave it. Oh god, it's all so bad, haha.

It's going to be hilarious next week when this... uhh... "gem"... releases for FS20.

 

 

BTW: I laugh but... I'm really kinda mad. I paid for this thing twice (700/900, then the X hoping it'd be better) and it's STILL a mess. And people wonder why Aerosoft has such a bad reputation?

Hugely disappointing. Hans even responded to my question in their forums that performance will be solved in this update. The whole changelog is of no value to me if the stutter fest isn’t cured.

This new version broke my Chaseplane cockpit views.   I can not change any view inside using CP.  Is anyone else having this issue?

Try this old fix. Don't delete it, just remove it to a safe spot and see if that fixes it. It's in your Appdata, roaming, parallel 42, chaseplane folder. 

If it works, you can delete it.

Ugh, that's completely disappointing.  I would enjoy a "good" CRJ very much in P3D, but I value smoothness/performance immensely; and a stuttering, low-performing aircraft would take any enjoyment out of it for me.
