March 12, 20215 yr This is a hard one. I already have the iFly 737 and Tdfi 717, and CS 757.. call me a Boeing fan.. I really want to buy this, but I aim to get 777 or 787. Difficult says my wallet.
March 13, 20215 yr Does anyone have this and the FSL 320x? If so, would you comment on the overall VC. I have the FSL version and after watching a video on the Aerosoft version and thought the inside looked somewhat better. Any other comparison would be appreciated. March 13, 20215 yr Well, the FSL is more expensive ($140 for just the A320, vs $60 for the discounted AS bundle). However, the AS buses are lighter in system requirements (a bit) and simulation depth (a lot more, according to what I've read). Unless you're dying for sharklets (because the FSL ones are delayed), you will do better with what you already have. One is a study sim (best ever according to many) also offering incredible immersion once you try it. And the other is, I would say, a regular fun aircraft which will take you from A to B. It is even promoted as such, more or less, by its developers. As for the visuals, the beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I don't have the AS buses, but what I saw in screenshots and videos did not make an impression on me. The FSLabs airbus, for a change, has an amazing virtual cockpit, especially if you upgrade it with Hugo Bicho's free texture pack available at Facebook (HB-Textures). 52 minutes ago, Luis Hernandez said: because the FSL ones are delayed Not so any more. They should be released very soon. Edited March 13, 20215 yr by Rafal

In comparison, they are light years immersion and experience wise from each other. And I tried both. March 13, 20215 yr Thanks for the replies; very helpful. Too bad about the texture pack from FB. As in, I'll not touch FB. My loss, but one must have principles. March 15, 20215 yr My 2 cents - from what I can see Bonn by Aerosoft seems to be one of their best sceneries. A320? I do own this and I love it. I was thinking hard between this and FSL. Picked AS because of lower specs required. System depth is good enough to use FCOM, FCTM & Mike Ray books. I do not regret not choosing FSL. Plan to switch when I perfect normal procedures and will need failure simulation. &
March 15, 20215 yr I'm voting Cologne / Bonn up too. Great work. EDDM - EDDK is my "go to" for a short run flight. I really do not want to beat the dead horse, but this (unfortunately) popular misconception tends to circle around and return like a boomerang. If you really think the only difference between FSLabs A32X series and the Aerosoft product is the failure simulation, you have no idea how much you miss. You may have noticed many folks (including myself) consider it the hands-down best aircraft simulation ever. You don't believe this is just because of failures, do you? The depth of all systems simulation, the incredible attention to all kinds of details, the GSX/ATSU simulation, the living sound environment, the all-level immersion you get sucked into, are just examples coming right now to my head. Let me quote an FSL forum member, Marvin Toepfer, who wrote:'The ATSU workflow in combination with GSX is absolutely amazing and so much fun! (...) The A to B flying can be a bit boring sometimes, of course. What I did then was to study the systems of the real thing a bit with training books. With that information I started to "beta test" (of course, it was not in beta...) the aircraft then and I was soooo surprised what FSLabs did. This simulation comes shockingly near to the real deal. I went into the system further and further, I even stopped the time during engine starts to see if the timing matches when the fuel kicks in...there is already so much to discover that I am 100% sure we haven't even noticed or seen everything which is inside. For me, personally, there is no need to spend any time with another aircraft anymore.' I am not going to convince anyone to anything. I just wanted to point out that it somehow bothers me when people think the power of the FSL Airbus simulation equals failures.
March 16, 20215 yr Rafał, All good points and I know that limiting differences to 'failure simulation' is indeed too big simplification. But again - I was aware what are differences and took into account differences in price as well as hardware requirements and overall 'immersion & complexity' factor. And consciously took decision. WIth my lifestyle (2 kids, 2 cats, so many books to read) I do not always have time to wait for FS2Crew folk to finish his duties if I want to take longer flight. So for the price - Aerosoft A320 delivers. Even more so with the discount we are talking here. &

I guess the AS A32X is a nice addon all in all and I am glad you are enjoying it. However, if you ever decide to go the FSL way, do not forget to tell me how you like it. 😉 Edited March 16, 20215 yr by Rafal
