March 22, 20215 yr Author Doesn't look like you can turn the icing effect for air speed off in Msfs 2020 for the Arrow now. You can get the windscreen to melt, but when icing starts on the airframe, your airspeed starts dropping like a rock. Doesn't take long before you hit a stall situation. Finally stalled. I had to change weather and up temperature about 20 degrees to keep from crashing. You can't stop airframe icing from affecting the flight model in the Arrow. Edited March 22, 20215 yr by Bobsk8

March 23, 20215 yr turns out I failed to exercise the demons from the code. Uninstall and reinstall appears to have done that. She's a handful on takeoff. Great fun with this one.
March 23, 20215 yr Does anyone else find the ground friction non-existent? With full prop and 1400 rpm, just enough to not foul the plugs (hopefully), it sets off like a rocket. And if you cut the throttle completely it coasts forever. Cristi Neagu

If you set the prop at 1400 rpm you will be taxing at a pretty quick rate wearing out brakes trying to keep your speed under control.

March 23, 20215 yr I never look at rpm when I taxi IRL. I add juice with short burst then retard throttle to 1000rpm and let airplane roll. I can guesstimate rpm during taxi just from sound of engine . I also can easily spot a difference if engine idling or hanging around 800-1000rpm. So if someone asked how much RPM takes to move airplane I can’t even answer lol All I can say it is definitely less than 1800-2000rpm which we typically use for run up Worst thing pilot can do during taxi are ride brakes or steer with a yoke LOL In MSFS GA airplanes roll way faster than IRL.
