Problems with updated JF Arrow

Featured Replies

1.  I start flight, and the co pilot's head is sticking through the side windscreen and I can't get him to go away even with the tablet menu.

2. I start the Arrow, and the Garmin 530 screen is dark. I finally had to restart the flight in MSfs 2020 to get it to light up.

3. I take off, and retract the gear, and the gear warning sound starts up along with tghe light, and will not go out no matter what I do. I aborted the flight and restarted my PC

4. After restating the flight again, the GPS screen is dark again.

5. Had to restart the flight again, and now the GPS screen is lit. So I have to start the flight twice to use the GPS.

6. Now Track IR won't work.

I have the non-fixed version of the Arrow 3 on my back up drive. I think I will just use that.

I think the dark GPS screen is related to a bug in the sim after SU3, I know I have read about it.

The JF Arrow V2 worked fine for me when I tested it after the update, maybe you should try to uninstall it and make a fresh install with V.2.

I did one flight and it was ok. Then it turned into a train wreck/

I am more tempted to reinstall version 1. It worked fine.I just tried restarting the flight, and MS2020 crashed to desktop.

Before that, try uninstalling and reinstalling the new version. I just arrived from work and will try it now

I did two things.  I try reinstalling it, and it offered me the option of repairing it which I did. Then I launched the flight in the US rfather than London City. I think that airport must have been built on an old Indian Burial ground. So far everything is working.

Im testing it. So far the only problem that i have is the compass is stuck pointing north.

@JustFlightScott should i open a ticket? Or your devs are aware of the issue?

Everything is working now, GPS, landing gear, Track IR...Fingers crossed. My compass is stuck too. Now we know the repair won't fix the compass issue.

I like it so far. Some of my issues where solved with this update.

Anyway, i think it will need a hotfix to solve the compass issue etc but so far its better than the initial release

Just got some Icing now flying out of Boston, but the aircraft isn't covered with ice. Hope it stays that way.

Well the icing got worse and worse, to the point where the Arrow started to stall. I had visual only checked for icing, but something changed that setting. I had to change the weather and  up the temperature to get the ice to melt.

That sounds great! (Not in real life, but in the sim 🤣)

I've found a new bug too: The chronometer only counts if the yoke is visible. If you hide the yoke it stops counting until you show it again.

So far i've only experienced those two bugs. I just started my 6 hour journey. Lets see how it continues.
