Out of Memory

Did you update the Fslabs Airbus lately?

I have plenty of memory and get the same error only when loading the latest A320 with the Lufthansa livery. Every other combination works.

Strange but reproduceable three times so far. I use SIMstarter for aircraft selection.

My seems to be a scenery issue. I'm still adding my scenery one by one. Had to remove some scenery but so far so good. Still a few to to go.

I'm am suddenly running of memory on P3D loading screen. My settings haven't changed for months. Why I am having this issue now?

First of all you should give us more information because to me it is not exactly clear what you are talking about exactly (Memory-> which memory???)

  • System Specs
  • Hardware in use
  • MS Build
  • GPU driver in use
  • Which faults do show up (describe them or copy/paste them)
  • Which memory are you talking about and when this issue exactly does show up (what where your last steps before the issue and what did you try todo?)
  • Step by step scenery adding is a good thing to do!

Your information is a bit sparse so I don´t think this will lead to any useful suggestions.

Sorry to say that. But I just want to help you and can´t based on this information here.

I am having the same issue now. I did delete numerous files in C:Docs:Preparev4 files and I've heard that could have corrupted my default flight?!?! Thoughts? what other fixes?

I don't know how to delete my prepare3d.cfg, etc. Any and all help is appreciated.

And yes, i know I should add my specs, however, I don't know where to find most of them.

I'd suggest that uninstalling and re-installing P3D may be your best bet, rather than a long, complicated attempt at troubleshooting the sim configuration after you've gone and shot holes in it with the delete key.

I had similar problems with p3d 5.3 going CTD.

Found it seemed to be something that was acting like malware. (looked at Windows Event Viewer)

Lavasoft web companion, its in the x86 programs folder, had to uninstall it through old style uninstall window, from Control Panel.

All of a sudden I’m getting an error while booting P3Dv4 which it then CTD.  Your computer is out of memory….

it is a high end PC and even with task manager running nothing lifts above 50% in any category.

i did a clean install and still same issue!

Is this a program problem or do I need new PC upgraded memory

@Sean H, more details of your system are needed. I suspect it could be a pagefile problem.

Follow the instructions here and choose "Let system manage it".

I’ve hidden several posts unrelated to @Sean H’s post. He should have started a new post, not continue a two year old one.

@Sean H, please provide system details but you need to report your page file setting.

Did you check what event-viewer is showing caused the ctd? Check in Windows, Applications, what has finished Prepar3D.exe. It must be a line with Error and a red mark. Report the finding here for further help.

Nothing jumps out there Sean. Can you locate Prepar3d.cfg and rename it. Then launch P3D and when the Scenario screen is presented hit OK.

Does the sim load without issue?
