"stink off their brand"

Best indicator of an objective analysis right there...

So what was promised that we haven't got and will not get?

Take a look at the pre-release videos--then try to recreate them in the sim in its present state.

As to what we will or will not get--you have no better idea than anyone else.  What we're talking about is what we have.

As an ex X-Plane user I have never had a PMDG plane. But I am looking forward to their releases for MSFS and will not be put off by the ridiculous negativity displayed by some. I intend to enjoy them no matter how many early niggles there may be.

I'm not particularly interested in your assessment of my intelligence, out of line as that comment is.

Just so I can be clear on the forum rules, and asking because you're an admin:  what I've gathered from your comments so far in this thread is that speculating about someones' intelligence based on the content of their posts is out of line, but dismissive namecalling aimed at someone who's been up to that point fairly politely disagreeing with you is perfectly fine.

Is that right, "sport"?

Guys, can we please not feed the troll? He wants to derail this thread and so far he’s succeeding.

This is a thread about PMDG’s plans in MSFS, not whether you like MSFS, remember?

James

Yeah true. Some will just stay at their corner and keep with their denial. It is pointless to argue with these even.

Sure is, Pal.  😜  Look, I use "Dude", "Guy", "Buddy" all the same way.  Not meant to be dismissive...a term of mild familiarity.

Umm, where are you flying?  I get everything from subtle to quite severe over mountainous areas and it definitely correlates with wind fluctuation.

In the past his estimates have been off by about 9 months on average. Just saying.

To be honest, I was expecting 2022 for the 737 anyways.  Anything better than a 2022 release for the 737 is icing on the cake, IMO.

To suggest a question like:  "How strong an edifice can be built on a foundation of shifting sand?'" is not ridiculous negativity.  It is a legitimate topic for discussion on a forum such as this.

To deny that the sand is shifting in light of the events of the past nine months--now that  is ridiculous.  To insist that all will be well in a few months or years just because we want it to be is naive.

Time to shut this down this is about PMDG coming to MSFS, right?  That's what happens when you don't cotton to tangential dialogue on the P3D forum--like you summarily did just yesterday after some dialogue to offer plausible explanations as to  why MSFS is what it is today.  I appreciate you do a fine job most of the time in your role as admin but your bias is pretty obvious here.

Around Colorado Springs.  In an effort to to be fair in my critique, I'm going to try loading up the sim with a GA plane and look for it again.

Some people say the glass is half full. Some people say the glass is half empty.  And then some people pour the rest of the milk out on the floor so they can complain about not being given enough milk.

(Fortunately, there also exist people who see that the glass is only half full, and rather than ignoring it, or complaining about it, actually go find some more milk and fill everyone's glass up the rest of the way.   Those people make the world better.)

It's a £59 pc sim. What do you expect? A £100000 professional simulator for £59? It's not going to happen.

guys, we got it all wrong. P3D is the superior sim. who doesn't like rain in their cockpit with EA is active. Amazing features....

This SDK is not ready has to stop. There is already tons of payware and freeware aircraft using it every day. Everything could always be better. PMDG doesn't seems to think MSFS is preventing them from delivering their usual complexity product.

I am disappointed, guys. I would have welcomed the distraction of an entertaining thread like this during the boredom and stress of a work week, and yet you left all of the juicy stuff for the weekend when I have plenty of alternative forms of entertainment at my disposal. Having said that, fair play to you all for keeping me hooked
