Just tried taking the 2.0 Beta up and seem to be getting the black crash screen and "You've overstressed the aircraft" message the moment I enter the yellow arc in ASI @ 160mp.

Wasn't seeing this behavior before so Is this now correct ?

Yes, I noticed the same behavior in 2.0.

I looked at the airspeed values specified in the flight model and I think they need some adjustment. I'll try to talk to Mark later today.

Thanks for yout patience. I am aware, that there are different LOD, but the effects I noticed are seems not to be typical for different LODs, even if theay are caused by them.

The first picture shows the Widgeon from a close distance. Everything is ok for me. The upper right corner show a magnification of the planes nose.

The second one shows the Widgeon from few more distance. I marked the problem areas and the magnification in the upper right corner shows new parts.

Before I took these screenshots, I emptied the community folder, deleted the content.xml and the rolling cache.

I hope these Pictures explains what I mean, when I was talking about changing the shape.

Ok this is now fixed and is a good idea to fix it. Because in the normal camera with the max zoom out this was noticeable. And that is not a good. So expect this to be in the next update. Thanks for reporting.

No, not correct. This has been fixed for the next update which should be soon I think.

Any news on the paint kit? The one available on the Flysimware seems to be the old one.

Peter

You can find the paint kit here. Let me know if i set this up correctly as it includes the metal and normal files. Just replace the albedo.

That worked very well, thanks a lot for publishing a paint kit. I encountered one little problem: when I opened the psd files with Gimp, I couldn't paint on the "paint goes here" layers. I am not sure if it was my mistake or it is the layer configuration, I couldn't find anything that seemed wrong about the layers. However, it is easy to work around that: I simply added new layers to paint.
Thanks a lot,

Peter

Very nice....

Yes the new layer was locked if that was the reason why you had trouble. But should unlock. But it's there just to let you know where the new art work should go so creating a new layer works too.

You're welcome... I just installed the new vesion and it looks much better. LOD0 and LOD1 are perfekt now. Perhaps you may have a look at the other three LODs, they seems to have the same problem, you solved for LOD1, although one needs eagleeyes to recognice it 😉

But the poly count needs to drop for the LOD levels and so yes the detail is going to get worse that is the whole point. But you were right about how when in the default zoom level the max distance should not show a change.

We also are updating the UV for the wing floats so you can add custom text. The flysimware text is just an example for the image shared. And we updated the gear textures. I put most of paint back on the metal.

This looks amazing! Any plans for this plane to be made available in the MSFS Store?

Yes, could happen any day now, but of course you can get it directly from Flysimware which makes updates more readily available.
