June 17, 20214 yr So for all who thought Asobo was going to gamify the Xbox version, well you are wrong. Instead of dumbing down the game, Asobo build assistant and more lesson to actually teach people how to fly properly. They even added the experience of a discovery flight. He also mention they are working with lots of 3rd party peripheral makes and we should expect more announcement. https://fsprocedures.com Your home for all flight simulator related checklist.
June 17, 20214 yr There was footage of the X-Box version. They're adding snow and water skis to some of the default aircraft. There will be more POI markers (for those who use them) pulled directly from bing maps. The main menu map now has proper satellite imagery with place labels Stealing Simtom's screencaps from the discord Edited June 17, 20214 yr by Tuskin38
June 17, 20214 yr When they hired Working Title, they were never going to "gamify" or "dumb down" MSFS. Those group of people that continually call MSFS a "game" and not a "simulator" and are hoping for MSFS to fail were hoping that MSFS doesn't become more advanced. The reality is, MSFS is becoming more advanced. Asobo's vision is to make MSFS the simulator of the next decade and Asobo's moves like hiring Working Title is a step in that direction. And I think it's on track to become the de facto flight simulator of the next decade. Edited June 17, 20214 yr by abrams_tank i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

Use what fits you better, or use both, why not?! The guy that uses a homecockpit setup will never use the console version, it isn't meant to be used like that. 9800X3D@H150i // Msi RTX 5090 Trio OC // 64GB DDR5 6000mhz CL30 // 2TB + 1TB Nvme Dell 27" 2127DGF - 1440p - Gsync - 165hz Thrustmaster TCA Sidestick Airbus // TCA Quadrant Airbus // TFRP T.Flight Rudder Pedals // Logitech Flight Multi Panel
June 17, 20214 yr I think it's important to note that everyone who buys MSFS for their XBox console, can also later install it on a PC. It's one single purchase for both platforms. I wouldn't be surprised if people get it on XBox, then later graduate to a more complex PC setup to use mods and additional hardware or tools. Edited June 17, 20214 yr by Der Zeitgeist

Ding Ding Ding ! we got a winner. not so hard to understand isn't it ? Specially when it's impossible to buy a GPU right now. https://fsprocedures.com Your home for all flight simulator related checklist.

Point of order: I believe that anything built within the bounds of the provided SDK should be able to work on both PC and XBox. This is part of the reason the sim is designed the way it is. Granted, installation will be more restrictive, as you won't be able to just download everything that pops up on fs.to and shove it in your community folder, but technically there is a level playing field. You are correct that things like, say, alternate ATC that runs as a sidecar process and works with the sim through SimConnect will not translate, though. But the percentage of XBox-only users who will feel hampered by that limitation and who don't have access to a PC where they can also play the game is probably single digits. If they get serious about simming enough to want to use those things, their license will work just fine on PC, too.
June 17, 20214 yr Is it me or it was running super smooth on Xbox series X per these footages in the XBox interview (assuming nothing has been modified which looks like that) 🤔? Edited June 17, 20214 yr by omarsmak30 AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 64GB DDR5 6000MHZ RAM, RX7900XT, FreeSync 165hz 1440p display

June 18, 20214 yr Gamepass ultimate also gets you access to software on both platforms. Microsoft really has the best deals.
