Who save files in MSFS? Does it refer to flight plans, settings, or the texture streaming? Also, don't forget that the XBox version will be released in less than 4 weeks, and that must be DX12. If it was because of DX12, they would say so. And I doubt it's because of DX12, because the test (and sim) aren't DX12 only. Tomorrow's Q&A is going to talk about X-Box and PC improvements, so we'll probably find out then. Edited June 29, 20214 yr by Tuskin38

June 29, 20214 yr They didn't mention DX12 anywhere. Don't know why people are raving about dx12. If it were a DX12 update, they'd mention it for sure. Baber My Youtube Channel http://www.youtube.com/user/HDOnlive

But either way it will be positive, even if I do need to buy a new PC. I think it has been stated many times that we should not expect a performance boost. This will simply allow for additional graphic effects (water wakes, ect). Some thought that by turning those effects off you would see a base package boost, however that should be expected. Pretty sure they said anyone invited to last one that never happened will get into this one. 34 minutes ago, Mike S KPDX said: I think it has been stated many times that we should not expect a performance boost. They said DX12 won't give noticeable performance increases, but theare performance improvements they made for the X-Box version not connected to DX12 will also be coming to PC. Why would they call it "Performance Plus" if we shouldn't expect a performance boost? I understand that dx12 itself probably won't improve performance, but I fully expect to see a significant improvement in performance in July. Otherwise I am taking my toys and going home lol.
