Has anyone loaded the Aersoft CRJ back into the simulator after update 5? Just checking to see if there are problems or does it work. Thanks

Seems to works fine for me...except I can't get the center button on the heading knob to index the heading bug to current heading, or get any knob that has a center button to work. Interestingly, the CRJ is the only aircraft on which I can toggle the spoilers with a keyboard key or controller button.

I flew around in it earlier to see. Could not get the HUD to stow, and some lighting/shadow glitches in the cockpit but it was flyable.

 

Has it been updated yet? As per their forums an update was needed after SU5.

Not that I'm aware of.

I managed to fix it by first right clicking on the knob. then i get the hand icon and i can click.

Will be updated to 1.0.60 after SU6 is my understanding, at this point not compatible with SU5HF2

I am flying her right now and it is ok apart from:

1. Lighting / shadow issues in cockpit
2. Knob clicking bug (solution above)

Hello everybody!

 

I have some good news and some bad news for you.

Let's start with the bad news. Due to technical reasons, the release of the CRJ-900 and -1000 needs to postponed until a later date, most likely late September or October. We regret this, but we explored all options and there is no way around.

Now for the good news: The CRJ updates for compatibility issues with Sim Update 5 have been completed and are being readied for release as we speak. They should become available in the next couple of days.

The nice folks at Asobo were able to identify and fix an issue in the WASM runtime (which is part of the SDK, but open source, so it's not made by either Asobo or us) and by this, to put the airspeed indicator in the CRJ back in action, without requiring a hotfix for Flight Simulator itself. Other issues (e.g. texture and shadow quality) have been fixed by our own developers.

 

More good news: Testing of the CRJ on the Xbox platform will begin shortly. We have no specific release date planned so far though.

Dear friends, we are acutely aware of the new issues after SU5. And we have an update that solves most of them. However we can't release that at this moment because it would still require the rather messy work around for the airspeed. This is something we simply can't fix and have to wait for assistance. As far as we know this issue will not be solved in the Hotfix that should be out today. When we had a chance to look at the hotfix we'll probably know a bit more.

 

There was no way we could have predicted this, yet we feel very frustrated and are extremely sorry the current situation. Rest assured that everything possible is being done and we hope to have good news soon.
