Its nowhere as effective as the tree draw fix. I found extending the LOD manually doesn't have huge impact like how it used to be. For example in my rig 300 same performance as 200 thus I have set mine to 400 with minimal lost of performance and longer distance draw AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 64GB DDR5 6000MHZ RAM, RX7900XT, FreeSync 165hz 1440p display

But why looks the airport dumbed down in the second pic? Personaly I the trees are drawn to far out to be realistic. When you see the comparison shots next to each other exactly like that, wow is it obvious how Asobo have robbed us. Okay people might say they are little things, but the details add up and are really what make the sim. Lowest common denominator... The new buildings are FSX autogen tier. I mean they are actual single color blocks now. Edited July 30, 20214 yr by lownslow
July 30, 20214 yr Wasn't it stated by the Dev Update yesterday, that LOD changes are going to be reverted to pre SU5? Iñigo Bildarratz

Where is this file and where are the settings in the file that people are adjusting? I ask only out of curiosity as this is FSX style tweaking at this point. What's changed now is Asobo changes the game with the next update leaving people scrambling like ants just after a disturbed ant hill to find the next bag of tricks that works. July 30, 20214 yr I'm so confused. I thought draw distance of trees was supposed to have been fixed a bit, and many people are reporting positive results. I however have seen no change at all (though I have seen improved FPS). I still have a ring of trees around my plane. Trees set to ultra. Even bumping up the LOD values to 4 gives exactly the same ring of trees (but now reduced FPS) I test it above Nantes airport and there is absolutely no change. I am setting the CFG file to read only as well. Is there something really obvious I'm missing here? I also only get the dreaded tree pop in with Bijan's mod. We also have a hotfix coming. I haven't had any CTDs but has tree distance been discussed in it or is it just to fix CTDs? Edited July 30, 20214 yr by Langeveldt
