New Freeware Live Traffic Mod

Got excited, then read the comments on flightsim.to - seems there are issues.

The pros of this mod far outweigh the cons.

Yes, the a/c do seem to 'float' (in real terms, maybe a few inches above the ground) and I've seen models where the reversers are permanently deployed. BUT, it is massive improvement over deserted airports, and when coupled with the static model mod mentioned on the download page, airports start to look how they should.

The creator made this comment 3 months ago in the comment section, is this still a thing? Sounds cumbersome if you want the full package;

On request of AIG (one 3D model are an AIG model) i will remove all textures and all models because i can't distribute models and textures files… I can share only .CFG files.

I need to get authorisation for each texture and each model…endless work.

We lose this aircraft and liveries:

B752/B752W, B763/B763W, B764, B789, B78X, BCS1, BCS3, CRJ2, CRJ9, CRJX, DH8D, E170, E190, MD11, A333, A343, A321NEO, AT75/76

If you want theses aircrafts in your ai traffic, now you need to make it yourself :

- Download IVAO MTL app,

- Create a fake .exe for FSX or P3DV if you havent this sims

- Download model per model, texture per texture

- Write a script who clean .cfg files, make models for each liveries

- Correcting some .MDL with modelconvertx who are bugged in MS2020

- Make a layout.json

- Dont sleep some nights

Welcome to the very closed world of AI planes where people want you be competent enough to build up temporary AI traffic on your own but without sharing your work with the community for free.

When I tried this mod a couple of months ago I still had some default aircrafts at the gates, so I uninstalled it and changed the default aircrafts liveries myself.

I got this mod "working" but unfortunately the aircraft are suspended above the ground.

Ones reaction to that is going to depend on ones tolerance for imperfection.

On the one hand, we have a freeware, where some of the planes do float a tiny bit above the ground, but which otherwise seems to work perfectly.

On the other hand, we have the default planes, which don't look very much like real planes.

Decision time.

Does this mod require messing around with core files, or does everything go into the community folder?

It all goes in the community folder. Make sure, if you decide to try this out, that the install is pointed at the community folder.

Yes, this applies to v1.3 (the currently available one on flightsim.to). You'd need v1.2 if you want to avoid a lot of work ...

I couldn't get this to work. Sim couldn't find any of the liveries.

IVAO didn't recognize my VID and password as current.

I'll wait for Aerosoft Simple Traffic. Hopefully it will be simple.

yeah i bet it it wont work for Aussie airlines

guys, AI-Manager from AIG will shortly go into Beta public testing. spacer.png
