azure notification in flight

Featured Replies

Anyone get a pop up since SU5 saying some issue (sorry can't remember) with Azure and the ATC voice changes.  It sounds like kids talking to one another.

Any fix?

Edited by knich

Got this yesterday and lost the tower voice for some time. Could only hear my copilot's voice. After some time the tower voice started again. Guess it's some overload on the Azure's voice servers.

Hmm..wonder if this could be related to xbox addition?

Yeah, I got it a coyple of days ago for the first time.  The voices changed, though I didn't dislike them - it was quite nice to listen to a different voice for a change.

I've not used the sim since, so don't know if the voices have returned.

MS server overload I guess.

Got yesterday,  like two voices talking same phrases at the same time, Sounds weird.

Yes, also got this during one session. The ATC and copilot voices then changed, e.g. my copilot became male and had a different accent. It didn't happen the next time I loaded up. Presumed it was a server overload issue.

Had this again last night

Just had this happen while doing several circuits at KRNT.  Midway through, I got that dialog, and then the ATC changed from a male to a female voice.  Eventually, the male voice returned, but...when I landed for the final time, it went back to the female voice, then the ground frequency (same female voice) couldn't give me detailed taxi instructions, but only "taxi to general aviation parking."  There was no taxi ribbon, nor any specific place to park at GA.  Finally, when I shut down the aircraft, the resulting logbook entry showed only one takeoff and one landing, instead of the three I actually made, and listed the arrival airport, not as KRNT, but as "W36 (vicinity)" -- which, FWIW, is a seaplane base on the lake immediately north of KRNT's runway.  Go figure.

I'm getting this on almost every flight.  It's not my internet, I have 0 dropped packets anywhere on my LAN/WAN so it looks like something crapping out on their side....

Have a Wonderful Day
