Can we have just one thread where MSFS isn’t mentioned?  Try mentioning X-Plane’s superior flight model and being able to actually load the sim, in the MSFS forums, and watch the personal attacks and suspensions fly.

If LR doesn't have the skills to do it then it is up to the management team Austin to call up some developers and hire them code it.

Outerra isn’t a sim, and a completely different platform. Maybe Asobo, if they don’t have the skills, can call Austin and hire him to make a sim that doesn’t crash. Surely a better alternative to formatting your hard drive and reinstalling everything. Don’t you think, @Greazer 😉

Their developers write code that can generate worlds down to the ground level, including procedural grass.  Seems pretty suited to a flight simulator but I guess you don't get the connection 😴

A world with ground detail. In a flight sim. That can’t even load.

I’ve seen a mod call some X-Plane users “trolls”. I’ve been called a jerk by someone in the MSFS forums, just because my opinion was different. 
 

If you think his opinions on adding rodents, detailed dirt, his comments on Austin contacting outerra for "help" in implementing grass (yeah, definitely no sarcasm in that post), when outerra is not even a flight sim, is considered "valuable", then I think you need to re-examine the concept called "sarcasm" and "troll like behaviour".

Greazer loves getting threads locked.  That's kind of his thing.

It is easy to get agitated and I have been on both sides of the fence. It is frustrating to post something very matter-of-factly and then get jumped by people with an "oh, the X-Plane Troll is back". But I try to not get caught in that spiral anymore. Maybe something to try for other folks, too?

 

Such beautiful procedural grass - supported by Unreal engine and Unity and many other releases. 

Time for X Plane to have decent ground level detail, and not be 15 years behind the curve all the time!
