August 5, 20214 yr https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3aMcFzG00Ik should probably be in the "videos" section, but here I am sure it can call for more viewers 🙂 Looks like a very well ( AND FREE !!! ) modeled 744 for XP11. The guy flying it doesn't look like being very profficient, he even starts with wrong flap settings for takeoff and asks why the hell he's getting an alert, but..., other than that the video nicely shows this very very interesting 744 !  BTW: Anyone ever heard of this mSparks guy the youtuber mentions ? August 6, 20214 yr So, if anyone hasn't, download the MASTER branch from his GitHub... The official release is WAY behind on features and the master branch has a TON of new features and is much, much nicer. I got it last night and it's a wonderful update for the default 747. Been digging into some XP stuff lately. Also found a lovely 737 MAX built upon the Zibo base but with native MAX cockpit and avionics.Â
August 6, 20214 yr @BostonJeremy77 Thank you for the heads up. I can't find this 737 MAX though. Would you mind posting the link to it, and eventually the links to the 747 master branch/release page?

Jan was referring to me 🙂 joking that it appeared as if I didn't know mSparks ... Of course I know him very well from AVSIM, from his work on the AutoATC app, now this 744, and because I share most of his oppinions on technology and flight simulation platforms. That aircraft allegedly violates multiple copyrights or, at the very least, sits in a grey area of copyright violations. If anything, it's a backroom subject. March 31, 20242 yr Maybe this is too old already, but I can't get the Sparky 744 to work. It doesn't illuminate the VNAV and I get the FMC message "DESTINATION NOT SET". I got the latest "master" from Github. Help? Thanks.
March 31, 20242 yr Part2 - I think it may be a sequence thing. I pushed VNAV early just to see what happens, and it did the same weird thing (blinks and turns off). When airborne, it illuminated and it's working now. So....I have to push LNAV - VNAV before taking off on the 747-400, yes?

Not necessarily, but usually as soon as you, still at the gate, have your route and performance set in the FMC, and FD turned ON, you push the LNAV / VNAV buttons in the MCP... This seems to be scenery related - corrupting XPs NAV data, but I have never got hold of an actual example scenery to recreate it with. Basically, XP nav stuff is telling the aircraft the destination is not an airport. Edited April 1, 20242 yr by mSparks AutoATC Developer
