Over the years I have seen you get kicked around quite a bit on here for..... reasons. It's been a conscious personal decision (not exactly sure why) never to get involved in that sort of thing (again not sure why) in your case. To bad your decision was otherwise. Bye....... Been a real pressure reading your posts. Not anymore.

I am sorry that your experience with SU5 has been negative, but my own experience happens to be the exact opposite. You are entitled to your opinion, but you are not entitled to decide that "facts" are what you declare them to be. "These are facts, and no dialectics are going to change them"? I have about had it with the arrogant nonsense emanating from some individuals. Enough is enough. Amen!

The masses are happy with McDonald. The masses were happy with Saddam Hussein and Gaddafi. I really don't care... in the development of the sim I see degradation of water, draw distance, illumination, objects popping in at less than one mile, and I would like to have separate branches of development for PC and console because FS has always been traditionally a PC game. Now it looks like a bad console port. It’s…a…software…game. Get some perspective. Seriously.

Notice that (1), (2), (3), (4) have been confirmed by the devs, either as achievements (2) or as bugs (the others). These are FACTS. That you are not observing them is something that makes your experience better, good for you. Other people ARE observing them and would like to have the product restored at least to its previous state, with sliders to allow those with a non-top hardware (like me: no 30xx here) to have good fps. For the first time in the history of videogames, when some people ask to solve problems and improve the product with upcoming updates, others say "no, the game is fine the way it is". I really do not understand. A. I am glad you asked. To answer your questions (it is a step forward that you even bother to ask someone else what they are seeing!): 1. the only had CTD I have had since SU5, was caused by one add-on that had not been updated for SU5 (a common problem). After that was fixed, I have had no more CTDs. On questions 2, 3, 4 ,5, and 6: yes, yes, yes, yes, and yes. That SOME people are having post-SU5 problems, and that the devs confirm it is a problem for SOME people, I do not dispute, and have said so many times in this forum. I have not said -- or observed anyone else saying -- that MSFS is fine the way it is. On the contrary, knowledgeable people have repeatedly reminded everyone that MSFS is a 10-year project, a work-in-progress to be corrected and refined with periodic updates and patches, and was so described before it was released a year ago. The varied experiences of different users with SU5 reflect a number of factors that have been well described in this and other forums, including differences in computer systems, presence of certain add-ons, and, I will add, the degree of patience one has in trying to locate the source of the problem and get it fixed, as opposed to lashing out at others and telling them that they are fools.. Beyond MSFS per se, what I find offensive is insufferable know-it-all arrogance, which has no place in a forum designed to assist simmers rather than insult them. Edited August 16, 20214 yr by cobalt

Beyond MSFS per se, what I find offensive is insufferable know-it-all arrogance, which has no place in a forum designed to assist simmers rather than insult them. Who are you to judge what is a step forward? Ironically, you end your post with "what I find offensive is insufferable know-it-all arrogance, which has no place in a forum designed to assist simmers rather than insult them" And what is wrong in saying that we are having issues, and that we would like the devs to solve them, especially when the devs themselves say that this is true? Just to make things clear: quote a message in which I insult a forum member. You will have problems finding it. What you will find instead will be a series of posts in which the reverse happens. Starting with accusations of seeing things that are not actually there, of being an agent working to discredit MSFS (go figure), of whining, and more. I have never called anyone a fool as you say. So please take that back. You are talking of a 10-year project, a work-in-progress to be corrected in refined with periodic updates and patches. I agree. So what's wrong in telling the devs that this time we had a downgrade, that I never had a ctd in eight months and then after SU5 the thing was totally unstable, and that we hope and expect that things will go in the right direction with the upcoming updates? Why should I say that everything is ok when in fact it is not? Why should I assume that all is under control when they pushed a crippled update? I've been in the IT market for 40 years, if you push an update and a considerable number of your customers has a degradation and ctds, you have a problem. And it is not a small minority, have a look at the official forum. A.
