Perhaps they just didn't have time to communicate this internally. Looking at news posts, the delay seems to have been announced less than 36 hours ago (making this less than 24 hours from the development blog's release). Since Microsoft are bound to an agreement with Paramount, delaying the DLC is likely not something they can do by themselves (the hold-up could be on the latter as well, I doubt DLC for a game is a big priority for a film studio), and the community managers can't make a statement on their own (after all, they did upload an outdated roadmap just hours before the update was made public). If they could have made a statement in time, I'm sure they would.

Considering how hard I had to fight to get something approaching a straight answer out of MS/Asobo about the problems with the marketplace I personally am highly disinclined to give them the benefit of the doubt when it comes to delays with telling customers the truth.

There was also a new WT NXi update if people are following that....and I recommend everyone use the g1000 NXi free in the marketplace - it is working far better than the default or old WT ever was.

I’m a little wary of a 0.50 beta version. Any known correlation to CTDs or other issues?

Specifically threads like this make me concerned, so curious if this is no longer an issue. My perception is many people having crashes are having them because they tinker. Don’t want to be one of them.

That’s because Carenado haven’t actually done the update yet…..

From Carenado’s Facebook page, posted 17 hours ago:

AIRCRAFT UPDATED
The update for PA44 Seminole for MSFS2020 was published in the Microsoft Marketplace yesterday.

This update is for PC version and fixes all the problem after Microsoft Software Update 5.

We are still working on the M20R Ovation.

That was due to a bug in the base sim exposed by the speed with which our code starts up, as @MattNischan elaborated on a bit in that thread.   We've added in some protections around that, and although you can (almost) never promise with software that something absolutely won't crash, especially when it comes to race conditions because they can be so sensitive to individual system configurations, we've not had any notable reports of CTDs since that update went out.

Gentlemen, I need your help. I have been stuck for the past few days in trying to complete the latest upgrade. I got to the Microsoft Store page and downloaded the latest update. I got the response saying that everything was ok and i was ready to go. That was all. No progress bar or a message saying that installation was sucessful or even the usual: "Go FLY" I looked to the entire page for some direction of what to do next, so I'm stuck there and hope someone can help me. Thanks.

What happens if you try to boot the simulator the usual way? It should bring you to the installation manager for the content update after finishing the Microsoft Store download.

Also make sure the Xbox app is installed.

thanks for your reply. I did boot (restarted flight sim), I also have Xbox installed
