Planes fly erratically after new update

Featured Replies

I noticed once the new update was done that the planes when flying real weather would act as if there was severe turbulence or unstable weather when it was clear and calm.  The c172 would yaw from side to side erratically. The carenado piper did same thing.  Anyone else experience this?

Yes, but I thought it WAS the weather - gusts.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

My initial thought too but local weather was calm.  Oh well. See how it does tonight.

I haven't noticed yet, but I've only made one very short flight in the BB BN-2 since I updated.  I'll have another look this evening after work.

Only when flying over mountains where you get uplifting currents.

Hmmm, not at the altitudes those aircraft should operate...

It can be due to lower turbulence, generated by obstacles (natural or man-made) and I've beeb encountering it even with previous versions and flying an airbus. It gets bounced like a trike at times, under conditions it shouldn't be like so...

That is what Airmet Tango for! Turbulence not associated with convective activities. In fact an area where I fly it's more likely to catch turbulance during clear skies.

not uncommon. last weekend I found quite a bit flying a Phoebus b1 in a blue thermals day, one of the occasions having my head "projected" against the canopy although my seat belts were well tied...

Or perhaps when lateral to them.  But as I said last night in another topic here I experienced it yesterday and it was before I installed the WU6.  So it may be a separate change in weather.  And.  I was using the Unreal Weather mod.  I experienced it on the approach procedure to R30L at KSJC.  So was over some mountains on the crosswind leg of the approach, then flying the final approach over a valley.

A little rubber strip at to the head set helps LOL No many airplanes I fly have two point harness!

The Longitude is still flawed after SU5, with WU6 it still banks left right slightly with AP on on cruise.
