Any new word about PMDG 737 for MSFS?

PMDG 737 and Fenix A320 are my 2 most anticipated planes for MSFS. I really hope we will get them before the end of the year.

Me too. I’m also hoping for end of year launch but the lack of updates makes me think q1 2022 is more likely. In the meantime we are lucky to have the FBW team helping us with our airliner fix.

There's been a noticable silence from all the devs that were bringing new high fidelity aircraft to the sim since SU5. i guess it caused more issues for all of them. Lets hope we still get something this year.

Yeah, I'm also looking forward to the Fenix A320.

But the FBW is evolving great. It's a real joy to handfly at the moment. Once VNAV / LNAV and hydraulics etc is implemented I am pretty satisfied anyway. 😄

Happy with MSFS 🙂

FTFY.

The silence is deafening across the board. I don't understand what is so difficult about being transparent about what's going on. Communication and support was pretty atrocious with the last gen sims but somehow it seems to be getting even worse now. What's really going on with the hobby? Is this thing not as successful as people thought it would be? Why are freeware projects the only folks that seem to be able to adapt to new technologies? I can't believe we're over a year into this thing and haven't gotten some sort of a preview for an A2A plane. Did Flight1 cease operations? What happened to the QW787? Majestic, hello? FSLabs, are you there? TFDi, do you have a pulse? It was refreshing to see Leonardo the other day with a preview of the MD80. At least one of em is alive.

Kudos to those few devs leading the pack right now while the others seemingly have nothing to little to say or show- FlyingIron, JustFlight, Milviz, and a sprinkle of others. Something something... heroes we deserve.

Have you watched the latest MSFS Dev stream on Twitch? Did you hear what was said about the "core sim"? Making aircraft for MSFS is a whole other ball game. It's no longer possible to just create a nice looking model and throw it out there as you could with FSX, whose flight model ran on rails. To give you an idea of the detail they are looking at, the prop sim is based on the old FSX, they said that once they start working on helo's they would also rework the propeller simulation so that it follows the same real world physics. We are very lucky to also have a few dev teams, PMDG, FBY, Working Title and Fenix bringing total realism to MSFS. The devs you refer to IMO don't have the skills needed to make that jump! And YES, that was a challenge.......................................

Robert confirming they are still on course for a release this quater is great news. What i could take from it is there are a few issues that they need Asobo to  care of, but it sounded like these were not game stoppers.

TFDI showcased the MD-11 in 2020 last weekend at FSExpo. They also did an interview on the developmental status with FSElite. User can follow their development on Discord. They also stream the development live from time to time.  So they clearly have a pulse and making good progress.

The beta team painters are waiting to get the paintkit (not sure if the texture maps have been finalized just yet), but when they release it to us, I'll start getting these moved from P3d to MSFS....hopefully to be ready to fly on release day. 😉lyCx64.jpg

The multiple beta teams at PMDG are very compartmentalized so I really know nothing more about the actual 737 program than what you guys see from RR's announcements...of course when I do (get the paintkit and join the larger effort to get the 737 ready), I won't be able to disclose anything anyway, but I'm just as excited as everyone to get this beauty in MSFS!

In the mean time....I just keep enjoying painting and flying this other PMDG masterpiece in MSFS. 🙂
