Well, I change the INI file but the modification date of the Content.xml file didn't change, and all the add-ons remain unrecognised.🤔

[Edit: the BuilderLogError.txt file has multiple entries of

"Could not open file.
Could not open file.
Could not open file.
Could not open file."  etc]

Actually, one aircraft remains visible (when not disabled) - the AH Spitfire, but that may be due to it being installed via an exe file, even though the actual add-on is in my Addons Linker folder rather than Community.

I suppose the next course of action is to manually delete the XML file seeing as it never left its folder using the Linker method.

For anyone interested, the new Contents.xml file is created immediately after the "Checking for Updates" screen goes away. It does not update when an add-on is activated in Addons Linker.

Unfortunately, deleting the Contents.xml file still hasn't solved the problem - only exe installed add-ons are visible.😧

I see you found the content.xml file (same folder as your usercfg.opt file).

I have the Steam version, so may not be of much help going forward. One last thing to ask is that when you activate something with Addon linker, does the proper folder link appear in your Community folder? And if it does, and you double click on that folder link in your Community folder, does it take you to the folder for the add on that is stored in your Addon linker folder tree?

Good advice. I have the MS Store version and the advice still holds true.

Another thing to look at ... are any of your addons flagged as unlinked in the lower Linker panel?

Yes and yes.

In safe mode? I think that doesn’t load any addons?

If you mean "Invalid Links", I have 22. That's 22 links out of over 92GB of add-ons though (126 of them valid). I've had invalid links since the start without apparently having any issues (one of them is even a payware airport which certainly worked). I deleted all the Invalid links (after screenshotting them) via Addons Linker to see if it would make a difference. Nope.😑

I also re-installed the Ju-52 (and all the Aviators' liveries which I'd also deleted) just to see if it would make a difference, but no. Not even the livery I'd downloaded for the Ju-52 showed up afterwards.

No, I addressed that when I originally raised this problem in another thread. In it, I said I'd been getting a numerous CTDs (possibly GPU/heat-related) but that I'd been sure to be running in Normal mode afterwards.

My last attempt tonight before I head to bed, seeing as it's nearly 04:30 (and the Buc-Pats game is about to finish (probably):

I deleted Addons Linker as well as deleting the shortcuts in the Community folder. I then copied a single add-on (the Vertigo Racer) into the Community folder.

Still didn't show up in the sim! That pretty much rules out Addons Linker as the problem. At this rate, I'll just have to wait for the next sim update and hope that resets my add-ons' visibility.🙄

Wait ... you copied the addon into the Community folder? Or did you mean you copied it to your *external location for addons*? I suspect you did the latter, but it's worth clearing that one up first!!!

You seem relatively familiar with Addons Linker,so I'm wary of insulting your intelligence (!!), but has it *ever* worked correctly for you in the past - or has it recently gone AWOL?

I was going to ask something similar. When you go to your actual Community folder after linking something there with the add-on Linker, is there anything in the community folder, or is it empty?

Just wondering if add-on linker may be sending to an incorrect folder.

No, what I was saying was that, after deleting Addons Linker, I then cleared the Community folder of the symbolic links (leaving it empty), then moved one of my add-ons from my *external location for addons* (which I have named as "Add-ons") into the Community folder in order to see if the sim would recognise it as if I'd never used Addons Linker. But it still didn't show up in the sim. This is leading me to think that it's the sim which is at fault in some way.

Addons Linker has worked fine for me since I started using it, correctly creating the symbolic links in the Community folder.

I'm finally going to bed now but I'll revisit the thread in the morning (well, afternoon probably!) to see if you or anyone else has any further thoughts. Thanks for all the suggestions so far.👍

if the sim was at fault many more people would have the issue, thats clearly not the case.

i am pretty sure its some kinda issue at your side.
