Broken Mods after SU6.

Recommended Posts

I can't get the Robinson R44 to fly since SU6 update. It wants to roll in every direction at lift off. The Bell 47g and SH-60 both still work well.

I see the menu icon at the top of the screen in the sim is still hanging there.  That was supposed to get fix.  I'm actually wondering what did get fixed as the sim's performance has taken a step backwards and planes are broken.

The menu icon definitely disappears for me after a few moments, just as it always did prior to SU5. I have to wonder if the update did not fully install on your system? I updated right after it released yesterday morning at 11:00 AM eastern time. I know there were major server issues later in the day, so some updates that installed after that started happening might have been corrupted?

I can't see AN32 FBW aircraft (painting) at simulator startup. Internal or external. Others including Airbus 320 Neo is ok

Bingo, then my problem must be with the co-pilot mod I have installed.  I'll remove it later today and see what I get.

Yes Dillon. Suspect other mods.  The Turbo Bonanza is working well for me.  I did have to follow Bert's path and restore two files to get back a tail number.  That may have applied as well to the default Bonanza.

Is your drive FAT or NTFS? I believe it needs to be NTFS, a few people have reported similar problems and changing to NTFS cured it for them.

Hard drive formatted NTFS - it was working for a month.  Then suddenly stopped working after a break of 2 weeks use.

System is:

Chip - I7 8700

memory 16320 mb DDR4 sdram

graphics GeForce GTX 1060 3GB

Hard drive where MSFS is installed is Western Digital 4tb high performance BLACK hard drive

I suppose in that context I'm lucky.

Only since SU5 have I had these issues.

In desperation I might re-install windows and FS2020 and start from scratch.

Stu

Yes - I did, twice and regretted the 26 hours redownloading and days of reinstalling it all.

The menu icon remains visible for me, too. And yes, I am pretty sure it's a mod. The Shift+Z mod comes to my mind. No time to investigate yet, but I'll report if I find the culprit.

Kind regards, Michael

I just edited the Toolbar.css, I now only get the icon if I pass the cursor over it.

I got something similar happen with the newly updated WT G3000 (0.7.5)  - in the modded TBM.

Warning bell sounding continuously after battery on, until gear up after take off. No attitude indication (vertical of horizontal) on the PFD. Need to do more tests but doesn't seem quite right.

Good news is the Marketplace airports that weren't loading previously now see all good (OK not relevant here...).

I've had this before SU6.  Started after the last TBM mod update...drives me crazy!

I found out this morning that my Premium Deluxe content, aircraft models and airports, were missing after SU6.  It was easy to download and install them from Content Manager.  I noticed it when I went to fly the Baron G58 and couldn't find it as available.

tbm 930 improvement mod needs to be updated. It causes issue with wt's latest g3000 mod.

also AI light fix mod no longer needed as it's fixed in SU6.

I hope so, works flawlessly!

So your not getting the warning sound when you turn on the electrical power in the Longitude?  Do you have the WT G3000 installed?

I just checked.  The menu icon does fade away when I have the Shift+Z mod loaded.  However the Shift+Z mod is at times not cycling through its displays when I use the key combination.  It does cycle each time I click its tile in the menu.  Just at times.
