Broken Mods after SU6.

Recommended Posts

Starting a topic so we all are informed as to what's broken after SU6 (haven't had much time to test before the servers came down):

1. Looks like the old G36 turbo mod is broken - Loading that aircraft up has you sitting in the external model versus the cockpit.

2. The WT G3000 is not playing well with the Longitude.  Soon as the power is turned on there's a warning bell you can't shut off.

I got something similar happen with the newly updated WT G3000 (0.7.5)  - in the modded TBM.

Warning bell sounding continuously after battery on, until gear up after take off. No attitude indication (vertical of horizontal) on the PFD. Need to do more tests but doesn't seem quite right.

Good news is the Marketplace airports that weren't loading previously now see all good (OK not relevant here...).

It's official then.  The WT G3000 needs to be updated.  WT might have this out later today knowing them.  I hope the Longitude flight model mod isn't broken now.  The default Asobo flight model leave allot to be desired.

The whole of MSFS is broken for me before and after the mod - still the program freezes as soon as I run a flight.  This happens in safe mode too.

I have searched everywhere for help, but no one seems to know the solution.  Supposedly this update was to fix this issue.  I have completely reinstalled MSFS and updated with latest.

If anyone can offer help, would be most happy.

The warning bell in the TBM is related to the parking brake and not the G3000 mod.

There are reports on this in the official forum. The bug was reported and known to the devs before the relases of SU6 but they didn't have time to fix it, so they pushed it for the next SU.

I'm so disappointed. I'm still getting a CTD with the WT CJ4  12.8

Flight from KBPI to KOXC on final approach. Repeatable.

I just feel this sim is staring to get me down. Maybe a break from it will do me good.

At least you can launch a flight.  I have managed about 2 hours flying since purchase 3 months ago.  For the past 2 months I've clocked up 120 hours of downloading, and any attempt at flying freezes the sim instantly!

So we have to deal with this until next month?  I'm speechless... 😶

I see the menu icon at the top of the screen in the sim is still hanging there.  That was supposed to get fix.  I'm actually wondering what did get fixed as the sim's performance has taken a step backwards and planes are broken.

It's not a mod but REX Weather Force causes a CTD when it tries to inject the weather. EZ fix is to not run the program until it's updated.

I suppose in that context I'm lucky.

Only since SU5 have I had these issues.

In desperation I might re-install windows and FS2020 and start from scratch.

Is your drive FAT or NTFS? I believe it needs to be NTFS, a few people have reported similar problems and changing to NTFS cured it for them.

The warning bells in the TBM and Longitude are caused by the parking brake being set without the engine running. A definite bug introduced in SU6. Apparently it was reported by the beta testers. This particular issue is not directly related to the G3000 - whether WT or default.

You mentioned a problem with the Bonanza Turbo mod. Is this the Rob Young mod? I tried a quick flight in that after SU6, and it seems to be fine. I load in the VC as always. I know there is another popular mod for the G36, but I have never used that one.

Bingo, then my problem must be with the co-pilot mod I have installed.  I'll remove it later today and see what I get.
