Is this a joke?

I can see why they let it be a free for all, BUT in return they should be offering Steam-style refunds or demos.

This is a really good idea. 👍

I was hoping the relative lack of such things would be mitigated by the available rating/scoring system, but.... Hmmmmm.....

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

I find it odd that there are delays in getting patches for decent products released on the marketplace because they have to be checked out or whatever, yet stuff like this is allowed to be on the marketplace.

All products get checked when they're submitted, not just patches.

I'm pretty sure all those checks are for is to see if they run and don't crash the sim.

Well, I'll admit to having strange tastes and occasionally pretty low standards if there is something I really want. I actually bought that Deimos Su-57, for example, and am happy to have it for the price as I just really wanted that aircraft. I have and am very happy with both Bredok's 737 and their Eurofighter, so I'm not an automatic rejector of their stuff. And I would really love to get a decent Boston environment going.

But even for me, this looks somewhere just about two blocks beyond appalling. I'm surprised anyone would attempt to put rubbish like this up for sale.

Let's hope Superspud or FlyTampa do the bizz on this, either of those would get my money willingly.

Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

I believe Flytampa is a definite. It's their timing that'll make me decide whether to take the plunge.

If they say it's still many, many months away then I'll have a go. If it's a matter of weeks then there's little point. They're being very vague so it's a rather tricky call.

And I won't be asking for any money, but it might kill me so feel free to contribute to the funeral.

I'll raise a glass at the wake - how's that? <grin>

Never buy anything from bedok3d. It’s a cash grab. Zero quality and crapped quickly together. It’s so bad you wouldn’t even want to install it for free

Not a joke unfortunately.  Compared to other games the DLC of MSFS can be very poor quality and I believe sub tier "developers" have taken advantage of this ignorance.

The same "everything goes" business goes on for years in the other sim's main store with the same scheme.  Zero quality control, everyone is free to use that store infrastructure to live off more or less ripping off noobs and other unsuspecting customers as much and as often as they like.  The stores are just interested in their share of the revenue and they are getting away with that even better than the shabby developers.  This also takes away sales from the better developers and repeated bad purchases make a lot of customers weary of purchasing payware altogether.  Even worse, the incredible inertia of the Marketplace and the "bad neighborhood" is (and should be!) repelling developers who have certain standards of support and business conduct.  I don't think PMDG or A2A products will ever be available as convenient in-app purchases this way.

Now the Xbox release is washing a whole new, big and maybe particularly unsuspecting mass of customers ashore for them, and that's inappropriately rewarding for the bad developers as well, as proven e.g. by the number of SU-57s I've seen in Multiplayer today.  Yes, it's kind of their own fault not checking the pictures, the forums and everything else thoroughly, but this is not about the stupidity of the buyers it's about not rewarding the developers exploiting these buyers, about not turning the Marketplace into the digital equivalent of buying stuff in shady alleys in the harbor district, and not turning Flight Simulator into the bait for this shady business.
