October 24, 20214 yr Seriously. Boston Logan is one of my favorite routes to fly to from New York, and I've been pretty eagerly scanning for a bespoke rendition of the airport for MSFS. So when I stumbled across a version in the marketplace, I was ready to hop right on it! Until I looked at the picture's.... In growing disbelief. Was this a joke? A mistake? Early development pictures? Holy word-not allowed, there's better freeware out there for other sims. I know Asobo/microsoft seems determined not to curate their store, and I hate to be that guy, but this airport is a monstrosity. Caveat emptor! We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically. October 24, 20214 yr Any goes on the marketplace hehe. October 24, 20214 yr Think if they had used two smoke stacks to try and imitate the legs of the Real Logan Airport tower, they would have charged $20 🤣 Dylan Charles "The aircraft G-limits are only there in case there is another flight by that particular airplane. If subsequent flights do not appear likely, there are no G-limits."

October 24, 20214 yr I can see why they let it be a free for all, BUT in return they should be offering Steam-style refunds or demos. There's no excuse not to if nominal functionality is the only prerequisite for getting on the marketplace. I'm having a preliminary fiddle with Logan myself, though I may throw it in. I think I can just about do better. Bold claim I know. Edited October 24, 20214 yr by superspud

October 24, 20214 yr I passed on this. I live right across the harbor from Logan. This thing is just awful. Was that supposed to be the attempt at Logan's iconic tower? Holy cripes! Stay away! LouP
October 24, 20214 yr I really deeply dislike the selling attitude that many providers of online shops seem to have. "Vetting what we sell? Pfft..." Quantity over quality.

If Flytampa announce theirs soon, and it'll be a bit weird if they don't, there ain't any point in doing it as that'll be a universe more sexy. Quite surprising they didn't make it one of their initial products. I'm looking forward to a video review of this gem, that's if anyone will publicly admit they bought it. I was also expecting somebody like Flytampa to step forward, but they seem in no hurry at all, and if an acceptable alternative appeared, I was more than willing to grab it. On the other hand, I wouldn't download this thing even if it was free. We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... October 24, 20214 yr Not a joke unfortunately. Compared to other games the DLC of MSFS can be very poor quality and I believe sub tier "developers" have taken advantage of this ignorance. Other flight simmers say "every consumer should be able to determine the quality of the addon blah blah blah... But now that we have X boxers and and people who were never interested in Flightsims blindly buying these subpar products without a great deal of knoledge. As a gamer, you expect high quality addons if it has a cost.. (asseto corsa cars, entire states in Truck Sim) etc. otherwise it would be a free community mod in most games. But you can pay high amounts for something that should be free in the community in flight simming unfortunately. Mr Callum at FSElite had a long and reasonable rant about needing quality control and changing the old system of buyer beware. I agree with him. This is a valuable lesson. Make sure you study the pictures before you buy. Pull up the real airport and look at it. I have almost inadvertently bought 2 terrible "representations" I believe Fly Tampa is working on a real Boston scenery. Bredok3D, DemioS are the 2 worse I have seen.
October 24, 20214 yr Microsoft/Asobo washing their hands of any Marketplace Quality Control is the most shameful thing of the whole Sim, all they want to see is hundreds of Mods so that can brag about it in the Weekly Updates and say "Hey we now have 1000+ mods blah blah blah" when you know for a fact a vast majority of them are absolute toilet. It's both shameful and embarrassing that in this day and age they chose to ignore the trash and let any old thing go on there. The idea of the Marketplace is/was a good one if controlled properly, but they've failed miserably to do any good with it at all. It doesn't take a genius to know what needs to be done, but like the Premier League money breeds greed and stats to show off with so there's very little hope of it ever being used properly and to a decent level of quality.
