Put a couple hyphens in assume and you know what you get?

Yeah, I know. I remember a sketch from the Benny Hill show, I won't quote here.

I'm seeing live GA traffic. I was at KBTV yesterday and there were light Cessnas doing circuits and touch-and-goes. I'm using PSXT with AIG and IVAO.

Do you have GA aircraft in your designated Liveries Folder? IE C172, PA28 etc. or, if ponting PSXT to the "Communities" folder it may contain addon GA aircraft PSXT is using as AI aircraft? Disabled MSFS live traffic?

Yeah, but this is works in progres,  remember this American saying: "The pioneers get the arrows, the settlers get the land" 😉

 so uninstalled the first one, then downloaded and installed 29.3.  What version are you using?

There is no need to uninstall. The installer of the new version will uninstall the previous version first ( Manual section 2.3).

Dear Nico, don't take it personally and let me make one thing perfectly clear here: you sir, are doing one hell of a job here with this wonderful piece of software for us avid simmers!

Groet,

What Nico has accomplished in those years is astonishing. Lots of improvements and many many updates.
And all for free. I cannot thank him enough for his work.

Can't be sure of where they come from, and don't have time right now to investigate, but it must be picking them up from somewhere in my Communities folder.

Latest developments:

Fixed a lot of issues:  Aircraft now take-off (rotate) normally, they follow curved runways and taxiways, they no longer bump up and down and lights control improved!

Hey guys

Looking for some help.  I've downloaded PSXT, +1 months subscription to Real Traffic and already have AIG setup and configured.

But I'm stuck.....the quick start guide is too simple.  I've followed everything but appears I'm stuck configuring my AI Livery folder for PSXT.  The manual is waaay too complicated.

I'm using the steam version and the quick start guide suggests I need to manually configure parameters here

C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\PSXT_MSFS\parameters.xml

When I open this file I see this

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<parameters>
    <parameter name="COLLISION_USER_GND" value="true" />
    <parameter name="MAIN_WINDOW_X" value="-1075" />
    <parameter name="MAIN_WINDOW_Y" value="233" />
    <parameter name="SNAPSHOT_MINUTES" value="30" />
    <parameter name="DEFAULT_PERCENTAGE_SMALL" value="75" />
    <parameter name="DEFAULT_PERCENTAGE_MEDIUM" value="50" />
    <parameter name="DEFAULT_PERCENTAGE_LARGE" value="35" />
    <parameter name="BORDER_SMALL_MEDIUM" value="20" />
    <parameter name="BORDER_MEDIUM_LARGE" value="100" />
    <parameter name="REMOVE_FALSE_THRESHOLD" value="50" />
    <parameter name="PROGRAM_VERSION" value="30.3" />
    <parameter name="LIVERIES_FOLDER" value="D:\Users\Thomas\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\Community\aig-aitraffic-oci-beta\SimObjects\Airplanes" />

    <parameter name="PARKED_MATCHING_DEPTH" value="8" />
    <parameter name="BLOCK_CALLSIGN" value="" />
</parameters>

I have pointed the livery path to the Airplanes folder where AIG traffic is installed.......but just doesn't work.  Everytime I launch PSXT it just tells me to set parameters??

I've looked on youtube for an guide of some kind but come up short.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

EDIT:  Found success following instructions on page 7!!  Yep I should have read the whole thread 🙂

EDIT1:  Yep appears to be working but the AI are really jittery taxing around, is that a PSXT, Real Traffic, AIG or MSFS issue?  I don't recall the AIG injected traffic via Traffic Controller behaving that way?

Thomas,

No no no. First off I don't think the liveries folder is used anymore...but in any case you should not have edited it (change it back to "liveries") - that's NOT where you tell PSXT where to find your liveries. Look at my parameters.xml below and modify it to conform to the paths on your system:

"lfolder0"; "lfolder1" etc. are where you enter the path/paths to your livery installs. If you are only using AIG OCI then your "lfolder0" entry should look like mine, but edit it to represent the path on your system.

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<parameters>
    <parameter name="COLLISION_USER_GND" value="true" />
    <parameter name="MAIN_WINDOW_X" value="1751" />
    <parameter name="MAIN_WINDOW_Y" value="10" />
    <parameter name="DEFAULT_PERCENTAGE_SMALL" value="75" />
    <parameter name="DEFAULT_PERCENTAGE_MEDIUM" value="50" />
    <parameter name="DEFAULT_PERCENTAGE_LARGE" value="35" />
    <parameter name="BORDER_SMALL_MEDIUM" value="20" />
    <parameter name="BORDER_MEDIUM_LARGE" value="100" />
    <parameter name="REMOVE_FALSE_THRESHOLD" value="50" />
    <parameter name="PROGRAM_VERSION" value="30.3" />
    <parameter name="LIVERIES_FOLDER" value="liveries" />
    <parameter name="STOCK_AIRPORTS_FOLDER" value="stock_airports" />
    <parameter name="ADDON_AIRPORTS_FOLDER" value="addon_airports" />
    <parameter name="SPECIALS" value="" />
    <parameter name="lfolder0" value="E:\MFSF Addons\Utilities\Traffic\AIG\AIGOCI\aig-aitraffic-oci-beta\SimObjects\Airplanes" />
    <parameter name="lfolder1" value="E:\MFSF Addons\Utilities\Traffic\LiveTraffic\ivao_x-csl\SimObjects\Airplanes" />
    <parameter name="lfolder2" value="" />
