Anyone has ia planes floating during taxi?

Sometimes this can happen. You can see it also on FR24.

Just got my 24 trial license. So I’ll give this a shot tomorrow. Will Update this thread with how I get on.

There is a free alternative to RL, but it's less accurate with aircraft movement.

Which is? Thanks!

Huh weird. the PSXT site used to link to a free alternative, but I don't see it.

I've been using PSXT + RT for many months now and thoroughly love it.   Sure there's little things here and there but it has brought real immersion to the sim while others continue to wait for the MSFS AI traffic to work.   With the addition of AIG, this has only added to the immersion with more airlines / aircraft available particularly the cargo and regional airlines.

Just adding my experience with PSXT + RT + AIG to the thread for any others that may be considering taking the leap to using it.

Cheers.

Eric

I knew about AIG but hadn't installed it yet.  Saw this thread and almost fell off my chair - PSXT installed, RT licence purchased and AIG going through its updating.  I can't wait to try this out!  I fly mainly low and slow so seeing GA/airline traffic and have them displayed in Foreflight will be epic!

Thanks for the thread!

Yes it does and helicopters too.

Maybe Microsobo should contract with you - just like the WT group?  Nothing beats hiring/contracting with those who already have the "hashmarks".

For your information:

PSXT is pointingin the MSFS quick start guide to a SimObject-Set (i will not name it here for reasons) that is a direct (illegal) copy of AIGs work! I have informed the developer of PSXT about this as well.

I am sure that this will be corrected…

I bought a license for a month to test, initially set up on EGLL and I can't believe how traffic shows LIVE. Amazing

AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D,

MSI RTX 5090,

64GB RAM 6000MHz DDR5,

Tuf Gaming X870Plus, 1200W PSU

English is not my first language.

So, I now have this working. Really super easy to use, and actually way quicker than the AIG traffic injector  by about 10x!

I have one teething problem; I tested it at EHAM schipol, and after the planes land, some of them taxi across the grass, I can see they mean to use the taxiway but it seems offset?  Anyway around this?

other than that, it is 100x better than msfs live traffic. The aircraft actually queue up, use correct runways and taxiways, all in all, if I can fix that issue above, it is 10x better and I will be sticking with it 100%.

simple, AIGTC is not injecting live traffic at all, it is loading offline flightplans first to inject them at runtime. You can not compare both tools 😉

You can compare, because they both provide traffic.

I am not complaining either. I understand why AIG traffic injector takes longer to load, cause it’s all offline.
I’m simply making my observations known. And that is this tool is super super quick, and live. If that’s what one is after, it’s 10X better than MSFS live traffic.
If however one wants offline traffic injected, sure then AIG injector is the way to go. Whatever floats your boat.

I tried it now for some flights, thanks for the hint!

My opinions:

it is really fascinating to see the real traffic and to know it is the real traffic.

BUT:

I think, on the long run I can't live with the movements, the real traffic does. An aircraft which is starting, accelerates on the runway, then suddenly stops for some seconds, then jumps up or down probably to slew after that to its further position.

All in all most aircraft stutter and jittering a lot here.

I know the technical reasons of the above behave and I do not critisize the work of the both programs, especially the freeware PSX, which is a great freeware!, but I do not think I will keep this kind of traffic.

However, really fascinating to observe it

Not seen that on my pc’s yet. You saw my vid.

It depends on how accurate the data is that Real Traffic receives for the airport.

Here in Europe it looks quiet good…..
