PMDG hints 737 close to release

Featured Replies

An hour ago PMDG changed their profile picture on Facebook to the 737 in MSFS. Last time they did this it was the DC-6 and it was released one month after. You should all know that PMDG likes to tease people with that stuff, so they have clearly a reasoning for changing the pic. I think we are in for a nice christmas!
I think today or tomorrow we will get the release date and a preview roadmap.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Kind of surprising since Asobo still hasn't fixed the FPS issue with the DC6. It would seem that will be even a bigger issue with the 737.

Actually no. DC-6 has more FPS issue because it uses steam gauges. Aircraft with LCD avionics works great in MSFS. I get close to 50 fps now in the 787 or 747

You can't compare what is going on in the Default aircraft with the DC6. I had the A2A Connie and the PMDG 737 on P3D, and the 737 was really rough on FPS compared to the Connie.

Based off of what?

FAA: ATP-ME, 737 CA, enough time in the 757/767 to be dangerous 🤠

Rock n' Roll baby, this is the last thing I need to be happy in this sim, even though if I have to deal with imperfections and annoying bugs. 737 + AIG and you'll not find a lot of me on here. 🙂

Who says I am using it in a default state ? CRJ is also LCD avionics and I get very good frame in it.

That does NOT indicate they are close to release....LOL.  And close can still mean several months away.

Unless I missed something, they did NOT "hint." they were close as you say in your title.

Just wait till the 737 comes on, and you will see what I mean.

Hope the more broad-based update on the release timeline that Mr. Randazzo hint in his 12nov update going to be tonight on Sky Blue radio!

I wouldn't count on it.  They had a big-big chance the other day during the dev Q&A.  Would be nice though.

The change of the picture is a "hint", since they did this on purpose following a well-known pattern. Of course it could have been some trainee accidentally uploading the wrong pic... but all makes sense for me. Let's wait a couple of days and we'll see what they announce.

You said PMDG hinted they were close.  They did NOT.  Not trying to be mean or anything.  Maybe you meant to say "looks like they may be getting close", but PMDG themselves did not directly comment on anything.  That's a big difference.
