November 24, 20214 yr Author before SU7 no CTD - now not usable Edited November 24, 20214 yr by Beardyman Artur
November 24, 20214 yr Yeah, I almost never get a CTD but since SU7 it's not flyable anymore 😞 That is sad, I hope Asobo is working on it. However, I have read that they have vacation right now or at least soon, so hotfix could be postponed. I dont hope it.

Go into the Windows Event Viewers, Under Windows ----> Application logs, you will get an error message that will help you determine where to look. November 24, 20214 yr Have had multiple CTD as well with SU7. Roughly 1/2 the flights. SAR Pilot. Flight Sim'ing since the beginning.
November 24, 20214 yr I have ctd every time, when i click quit to desktop. It's since AIG stuff installed. Don't know how to fix it. Intel Core i9 13900K, NVidia RTX 4090 FE, Corsair Vengeance DDR5 64GB@6000MHz, Samsung 990 Pro 2TB NVMe M2, Asus OLED PG42 UQ
November 24, 20214 yr I was having persistent CTDs with SU7 until I had a close look at the Event Viewer where I saw that the faulting module was nvwgf2umx_cfg.dll which is a Nvidia module. I don't update my video driver often but I did for this one. Evidently the new DX12 implementation depends on an up to date driver. When I booted the sim I found I had better FPS, no CTDs, and it looked better too, so update your driver if you've got an old one. Mike Beckwith
November 24, 20214 yr And if you update your driver, do a clean install. Especially if it's a new version and not just a small update.
