Too much for my blood and there are so many other choices.

Absolutely buying this when it comes out as I would fly it all the time.  The only other aircaft in this class are the various PC6 and the default Caravan.

The default PC6 is pretty ordinary though the Milviz ones is not too bad.

The Asobo Caravan is pretty awful even with the improvement mods. At least they got rid of the fake spoilers but the turbo prop implementation is extremely poor even with the addon mod for it.

But yes - like most quality addon aircraft it is not priced at a point where the casual simmer would just pick it up to just throw in the hangar on the off chance they might occasionally fly it -  it would be a bit like buying a Humvee to park in the garage and go fishing one weekend a year.   You would only buy this if, like me, you intend to actually fly it.

I believe it will be the normal addon price for a quality aircraft that is not study level - somewhere around $US35 , similar price to the JF PA28 etc .

Thanks Glenn, that's not bad.

I think we're spoiled by the new pricing. In the old days, any addon aircraft was at least that much regardless of quality. Same for airports, come to think of it.

Anyway, yeah. I'll be getting this.

Didn't watch the whole video.  Does it look like turboprop modelling is done well aka custom?

I'm pretty sure I'll get it but would rather have the amphibian coming later.

The limited bit she shows seems to indicate the condition lever works correctly and the start-up procedure with introducing fuel etc seems basically right.

No idea if the Kodiak lo-start and hi-start options are modelled or if you can damage the engine with a hot start (the PT6 manuals require an engine pulldown and hot section inspection at a minimum of $US15000 and potentially more like $US100,000 after any category C hot start) but I hope so  - we probably need to wait for more detailed reviews to really know precisely how well the PT6a is modelled.

45 Euro including all the variants.   That's around $51.00 at today's exchange rate.

Still pretty cheap for what it is if you actually are going to fly it.  Though of course more than you would want to pay if it just a casual addon you rarely fly.

They manufacture these just east of us across the state border in Sandpoint ID . We see them all the time doing practice water landing in front of our place .

It looks like a cool plane. I'll probably get it, but I can't really see myself flying it that often.

Maybe they have modelled it TOO real and it shuts down on a hotstart and you have to buy a new plane for $35    not that I want to give the developer ideas.
