December 8, 20214 yr Hello everybody! Much like I did this time last year, I've put together a video highlighting what I think are the current Top 10 payware airliner-serving add-on airports for MSFS. This is the definitive list you need if you're looking to treat yourself this festive season (by which I really mean it's an entirely subjective list, but I've reviewed a lot of airports so you should listen to me 😉) Enjoy! This may well be my last pre-recorded video of 2021 so, if I don't see you between now and the end of the year on a live stream or another thread, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. All the best, Filbert filbertflies.com | YouTube | Twitchi7 13700k, GeForce RTX 3080Ti, 32GB RAM
December 8, 20214 yr I pretty much agree with your line up. I also feel Pyreegue have pulled out all the stops to really try and give the immersion at their airports. i have flown numerous times from both, and it's just amasing the care and detail they have gone to in their creations. AMD Ryzen 7 5800x3d, MSI X570 Pro, 32 gb DDR4 3600 ram, Gigabyte 6800 16gb GPU, 1x 2tb Samsung NvMe , 1x 2tb Sabrent NvME, 1x Crucial 4tb Nvme M2 Drive
December 8, 20214 yr Thank you Filbert for all the reviews. I really enjoy them, because they are honest and you are incredible picky, just like I am 😃 Keep up the good work! Cheers from Canada Most of what is said on the Internet may be the same thing they shovel on the regular basis at the local barn.
December 9, 20214 yr Absolutely agree with the winner, although you had me 'worried' for a moment when I saw number 4!😁 it could just be that the quality of some freeware out there is pushing payware devs to do a particularly good job nowadays and that can only be a good thing for we simmers.👍 OS: Win11 Home; Mobo: Asus TUF Gaming Z690-Plus WiFi D4; CPU: Intel i5-12400 (Alder Lake) 4.4 GHzRAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 64Gb (4x16GB) 3600 MHz; GPU: MSI Radeon RX 5700XT [8GB] SSD: Corsair Force MP510 (for OS); 2x 1TB & 1x 2TB Sabrent Rocket Nvme PCIe 4.0 (one for sim, two for addons)HDD: Seagate 3TB (Data); Seagate 1TB (Programs), ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B Curved 31.5" monitor, 1440p, 38Mbs ethernet Fulcrum One Yoke, Honeycomb Bravo throttle, Thrustmaster Airbus TCA sidestick & throttle, Logitech Pro pedals, Xbox wireless gamepad (1st gen)
December 10, 20214 yr #4 and #1 Glasgow and Edinburgh from Pyreegue look great to me in the video. I don't have either. Waiting for Xmas sale (I hope). 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. December 10, 20214 yr We must not forget some of the sceneries developed by "Beautiful World of the World" and "Freds Airports" they are stunning... Faisal Niazi
December 10, 20214 yr I'm surprised Pilot Plus Bristol didn't even make it into the top ten? It's equal to Pyreegue Edinburgh any day IMO.

I totally agree - both Beautiful Model of the World & Freds Airports offer incredibly value for money. Not Top 10 stuff, but brilliant quality scenery for the price. filbertflies.com | YouTube | Twitchi7 13700k, GeForce RTX 3080Ti, 32GB RAM

I did give it due consideration and spent a long time flying around it in the drone but I personally don't think Pilot Plus Bristol is as immersive as any of the Top 10. I can't put my finger on why. I love it, it's a brilliant scenery, but I don't see it as in the same league as Edinburgh. If I'd done a Top 15, it would definitely have been in there. It's always going to be controversial doing this sort of thing! filbertflies.com | YouTube | Twitchi7 13700k, GeForce RTX 3080Ti, 32GB RAM

Thanks for the video, I would really like to see a video with top 10 or 20 freeware airport by categories, like, international, regional, local, dangerous, weird, etc... Also, about the future scenery gateway for MSFS, will that be a a Microsoft server hosting the freeware, with auto update or is it something completely different? December 10, 20214 yr @FilbertFlies From watching all of your videos, I am now fully capable to read all of your Avsim posts with your voice and accent in my head. 😆 Agreed with your ranking 100% Jacek G. I would love to do this for freeware add-ons, but I just don't feel like I'm in the loop enough to do it justice. With large payware airports, I feel I have my finger on the pulse and the experience to do a fair ranking. With freeware, because there's so much of it, it would just be a case of choosing the ones that I'm aware of that I like, picking a few others that have ranked highly on flightsim.to and boshing something together. And that wouldn't really be a fair reflection of what's 'best'. I'm not too sure what the plans are for the scenery gateway. filbertflies.com | YouTube | Twitchi7 13700k, GeForce RTX 3080Ti, 32GB RAM
