Yes, Governor is active, no messages on display. I see movement on cyclic and pedals but no movement at all when i use my throttle on my x52 pro throtlle unit. The RSP44 is working great.. Loaded the H125 blue profile. When i use ctrl e it does not work. I assume that when i use my throttle is will see movement collective up/down next to the seat. It just does not move... This is the file i use in AirlandFS airlandfs_H125_Blue_-_MJ.cfg. Greetz, Bouwe

Do you have your physical throttle mapped to the main in-game Throttle Axis ? If so might be worth trying remapping it to Throttle 1 Axis.

Thanks @Matchstick ! I assigned Throttle 1 to my throttle axis. It is working now. Also the H135 and H145 is working with throttle 1 axis. So no need for a seperate joystick profile!

Kind regards, Bouwe

@Mace, @bbking, @kt069, do you have the Governor Active option checked in AirlandFS?  And is the TWT GRP warning light on the panel off?

Yes, Gov is active in AirlandFS and TWT GRP light is off.

Still no go.

I assigned the throttle to variously "Throttle 1" and "Throttle Axis 0-100%" and neither one worked.  The cyclic does move, and the gauges show the throttle increasing/decreasing, but it's as if the helo weighs 2,000,000 lbs and it will not move at all.

Also, CTRL+E does not work.

I do not have the R44 to compare, I suppose that's something to look into.

I am running the regular (non-beta) version of MSFS (1.21.13.0) -- store version.

I had to use slew to get it working - couldn't start either.  Using general throttle axis with my CH throttle

When I slew up, to say 1000 ft AGL and let it go out of slew to normal flight, the helo just floats there.  Pedals, cyclic, they all move but the helo doesn't do anything.  It's the strangest thing I've ever seen -- as if its suspended in mid-air.

Do you have your AirlandFS folder directly inside the Community Folder ?

I don't have my AirlandFS folder in the community folder, and it works fine, I don't think you need to do that, AirlandFS just has to be running in the background and you have to have a correct profile loaded. .

Sorry to ask a stupid question but only because I see reference to "CTRL-E does nothing" (which seems normal as it doesn't do anything for me either) and everything else checks out regarding collective movement, throttle bindings, and twist grip set to Flight mode.... you are able to get the engine started using the starter switch on the overhead panel, right?

My problem was solved after I get the AirlandFS folder under Comunity. I am not sure why but it didnot workbefore this. And as per the readme file, it says folder should be under Community folder.

I did not try to start the engines yet.

Actually I was wrong. Seems my AirlandFS is in the community folder.   Thought I installed it elsewhere.  Sorry, but glad you got it worked out!

Yes I do.

So today, I downloaded the R44 and installed.  Put myself down at Port Stanley, Falkland Islands airport, then flew around a bit in the R44 using the Blue profile -- it worked great.  My first helo flying in MSFS, I was excited.  And I had 22 knot wind (heh) so it was rather adventurous.

So then I load up the H125, and same thing, no problem at all.  I don't know what was going on last night.  If AirlandFS uses SimConnect, maybe something was wrong there.  I didn't do anything differently this morning.

Last night, even if I dropped myself at altitude in slew mode, exiting slew the helo just floated there, engine off, suspended in mid-air.  It was weird.

Good to hear.

Yes, sometimes AirlandFS seems to drop connection with the sim and need to reload the profile. I hope this will be fixed , soon.

That's excellent work Stoopy.  You didn't do a Mustang on by any chance did you?

No. No, Mav, this is not a good idea.

Sorry Goose, but it's time to buzz the tower!

Thanks!  I didn't do a 'Stang although I was tempted (owned a '66 Fastback back in the 70's and have an '05 GT currently).  The focus of the AS-350 drag racer repaints was on some of the more well-known factory racers (Dyno Don's '68 Cougar, the Ramchargers Challenger) and early Funny Cars (Jungle Jim's Nova and Roland Leong's "Hawaiian" Challenger).   It was part of a larger and admittedly kooky scenery concept project at the time.  If only we'd found a way to light the tree at the starting line...

But if I start up again on this, and I'm sorely tempted to, I'd be open for suggestions if you have any... Tasca/Lawton Mystery 7?  The L.A. Hooker? Blue Max?  Modern-Day John Force Castrol/GTX funny car?  The Stone, Woods & Cook Mustangs like Dark Horse and Swindler are my favorites.

Happy New Year Stoopy.  🤛 Sorry for the tardy reply mate, I was away on holidays.

I don't have any particularly favorites since I'm not familiar with the drag racing scene in NZ let alone the USA but after looking at some pics I'm going with your Dark Horse and Swindler suggestions.  Because, '67, Shelby and that electric blue. I can see that all over the side of a P51. BTW, like you I own a 07 GT 'Stang presently, blue with white stripes and Shelby styling grilles. Also has some decoratives' including 'chrome' bumper at the front and chrome surrounds on tail lights.  The S197 with the bumper styling starts to look pretty old school and I think the overall styling of the vehicle is the nearest you get to a modern day version of the 67 fastback. Oh that I could afford the real thing!!  So yes please, if ever you start this up again  👍👍.

Cheers

  • 2 months later...

For some reason this one just doesn't fly right for me.

With either latest version of AirlandFS.

The latest version AirlandFS the power doesn't generate any takeoff lift from the ground.

The prior version ArilandFS the H125 has weird unresponsive rudder issues at forward velocity as if its fighting the wind.

Meanwhile the R44 runs absolutely great.

I tossed the H125 for now. I'll try it again after more development.
