Honestly I beileive the best option is really to wait a bit more and have rotary wing natively modelled in MFS. It's not going to take much time, I guess...

Totally disagree on this one...  Some of the offerings already available are well worth it today.  Lots of things in FS  history have been "figured out" outside the core sim.  Helicopters in MSFS are just one more example.

H125 was updated yesterday with a new flight model. (v6.0 config included)  Used in conjunction with airlandFS v1.5  It's SO much better than it was.

Really enjoying flying it now. Before this update it was barely flyable, now I cant stop flying it!

Have to agree with the post above, The Bell47, R44 and now the H125 are more than worth getting already.  All fantastic helis.

I'll have to try it - the previous version was not great and I didn't use it.

The Bell 47 is even available in the in-sim marketplace, so they’ve worked out how to incorporate the FM module into the install.

Presumably the flight model code for that is embedded as a WASM module in the aircraft package.

Some comments by Fred Naar suggest he'd like to do something similar for AirlandFS but I'm imagining that's an awful lot of work so who know if it will ever be achievable.

Flyinside appear to be taming the 47g a little with each release. Each of the Helis are getting closer and closer to the feel of the reputable one in that other sim

Anyone notice with the v6 H125 config the helo controls are very dampened?  IE there is hardly any maneuverability?  I do full cyclic deflections and the thing hardly tips over.

I'm not sure why they're having such a hard time with this one.  The R44 is amazing - perfectly touchy but not crazy.

Did you also update to the latest version of AirlandFS (v1.5 beta) and set your Realism to something above 60?  If Realism is low it will feel that way.

"That's what" - She

all the cyclic inputs for each MSFS heli feel non linear at the moment with a dampened centre. I can't find a way to correct it (created new profiles, linear curves etc)  Bothe airlands and stock models

Oh I thought it was set per the cfg?  I'll have to take a look at it thanks

I'm gonna try it again good to know!🍺

I had issues with the rudder being ineffective at forward velocity as if the wind was pushing the airframe constantly to the left.
